Just a suggestion. Is it possible to make the little round button taking you to the last read post of a thread a bigger, perhaps square, target.

That tiny icon to the last unread message was one of my pet peeves in the old forum. This new forum has neatly solved the problem by simply clicking the thread title. That takes you to the last unread post, so no need to try to click the tiny button anymore.

OK guys,

all 250 pages of users have been gone thru, and profiles fixed accordingly. From here on, if you see something that isn't right, just let us know.

Guys, added 2 new styles, Mobile GIM and Mobile GIM Black

These both have smaller avs, back to normal, so it doesn't interfere with browsing on mobile devices.

Please be advised

Mobile skin is pretty cool.
Very cool, although I may choose to stay GIM black
anyways, even though mostly thumb typing and posting on a mobile...why ?....well cuz I get to see more of Shootists' avatar....lol...when I tried the mobile skin today its what I noticed ...other than the bear got skinnier...lol

You now have a To The Top Button,

The thing has speed based on how long the page is, if real long it really zips along, whereas a shorter thread it slows down some

It should be smaller on phone type devices, and larger on computer screens.

Right now it is set as UP/DOWN CSS style

Enjoy!!

Nice double post. Figured out my previous issue. The new forum requires Java for the buttons to work properly.

I am actually going to move 'new posts' to the left, so that on mobile stuff it will always be in the menu,
as it downsizes to screens in responsive, it starts dropping off menu items,

This is a tricky way to add suspense and excitement to the site. Fake a left, and then slide New Posts into the ellipsis. :rotf: It took me a while before I found that one., but I like it OK now.:2 thumbs up:

Scorp,

Nice work! It's going to take my mentally challenged self a while to get used to it but so far it seems easy.

And it had to be done. If the site is not easily accessed and used by the "attention span of a gnat" crowed on their iPhone, GIM runs the risk of becoming Kodak....

Keep up the good work.

Move the New Posts hyperlink to the left instead of burying it under 3 dots on the right. New Posts or Alerts is where I always begin and it would make sense to work from left to right unless you are chinese.

yeah nick, been working on that and it is a real bugger in the back,

moved it to left, but dependent on screen size due to responsive design, it is moving around on me,

if I am using x screen it is on left, whereas on another size it is being buried under the 3 dots,

Working on a fix that will work for the mobiles, but it requires me moving the ticker off the header (which is fixed) and putting it to the bottom of each page. Then we will get the menu bar in the mobiles.

Also changed the forum icons to transparent style so they don't have that ugly white background.

Thanks Sky, much appreciated!

Switched around the 'mobile' style skins to remove the ticker and put it at the bottom of each page, and current feed.

That freed up header space, and menu space on the mobile forms.

So if on mobile styles (2 of them), the ticker is at the bottom of every page.

All other styles, the ticker remains at the top.

curious as to the capacity of this server we are on. just tried to send an attachment file I down loaded onto my pc and hit an error message that the file is two big. I guess the big question is do I post this 102 page file or do we just get whomevers e-mail account and send that way? this is a PDF of this book:
http://www.amazon.com/You-Know-Some...d_cp_14_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=072X89TXWTSCAV4W2HSZ

I suppose what I am doing violates some kind of copyright in some way but when I started reading this I am sure it was written that the only thing they left out for the pdf was the piks and illustrations so it is just the txt.

Soooo? whatstado?

capacity of the server would not be the issue, but capacity of attachments or post in the settings.

sounds like 102 pages would be oversized,

not sure it is wise for us to put up something such as that, copyright and all that jazz.

the copyright says it is ok for educational or non-profit uses though,

send it to the site email and I will have a look at it

was discussing this with the keeper of the blue and gold and he said just klicking on the link he could read the book. Me?; why I thought the book was for sale as in profits, but he said other wise. Yeah, it came to me via e-mail in a download along with the link. Pretty good reading so far...... I know alot of ppl like their anonymity, which is fine. I did ask him if'n maybe I should post the whole thing and he said: DON'T BE STUPID.... just paraphrasing of course....

he suggested doing a post and just puling a few pages as sort of a teaser? Instead of a link, idk as I have to get my butt out of here and put together a JA3.

After returning from a 5+ year absence I have to hand it to ya Scorp, learning CSS and some php routines at your age(snicker) had to be tough as I was forced to do the same 15 years ago.

You are doing a great job!

Thank you,

A lot of us like the new software,

The media galleries are a great addition also,

anyone can fire up their own album and make it so only they can add to the album, yet some or all can see it. The options are there for persons to do as they see fit.

btw, nice to have old members come cruising back on thru again, even if they try to paint me as 'old' :0)
