Perhaps understadable. However, it's just a Tolkien reference with a movie icon photo....we all have serious endeavors and more trivial hobbies. Our hobbies sometimes define us better. I prefer the Dune series including new stuff the Lord of the Rings, but I am unique.....

Yeah, I picked Gimli, Son of Gloin as my GIM icon/avatar/alter-ego because I am a LOR fan, first off. Love the book and Peter Jackson’s phenomenal rendering of the stories, which he unbelievably improved on, in my opinion. As far as Gimli is concerned, specifically, he is by far my favorite character of the series and he is a dwarf, making him a member of a mining tribe. Although the metal called Mithra* is named in the books and movies as the primary precious metal, it’s easy to imagine that significant quantities of gold and silver were mined by the dwarves, also, making them honorary Gunners.

*Mithril, not mithra. I, of all people, should know better.
