Search, Mr Brown, was also thrown under the bus but
run over.
The major difference between Mr Brown and Mr Garner is evidence. In the Brown case there is no audio or visual evidence of what exactly took place between Brown and his killer Darren Wilson. Just he said - she said type of stuff. Unfortunately the truth is somewhere in the middle but we'll never know. The only thing caught on camera was Mr Brown robbing a convenience store minutes before running into Darren Wilson. Not looking good for Mr Brown.

In the Eric Garner case we have both video and audio of the cops harassing Mr Garner over the selling of loosie cigs. At that point in time he wasn't involved in selling loosies. He had just broken up a fight. The cops didn't want to hear that and didn't care for the fact that he had shown them "contempt" by daring to talk back to them. They decided to show him that "they were in charge" and attacked him in a gang. A perverted cop (Daniel Pantaleo) grabbed Mr Garner arongd the neck and literally choked the life out of him even as Mr Garner begged for his life 11 times. Sure as shit ain't looking good for the pervert Pantaleo and the rest of the cops that were there. Not looking good at all.

It would be interesting to see and hear how the prosecutor steered the grand jury into letting a badged up perv killer go.

EXCLUSIVE: NYPD cops warned militant group Black Guerilla Family ‘preparing to shoot on-duty police officers’

An NYPD confidential informant learned of the threat on Friday evening — three days after a Staten Island grand jury decided not to indict Officer Daniel Pantaleo for the chokehold death of Eric Garner. Cop union confirmed the threat late Saturday and were ordering all police officers, on duty and off, to take extra precautions.

[h=1]Rand Paul: Officer involved in chokehold death shouldn't be a policeman[/h]
By Ashley Killough, CNN
updated 9:28 AM EST, Tue December 9, 2014

Washington (CNN) -- The New York officer involved in the death of Eric Garner should no longer be on the police force, Sen. Rand Paul argued Monday.

The Kentucky Republican said Daniel Pantaleo lacked "discretion" when he placed Garner in a chokehold for allegedly selling untaxed cigarettes.

"You probably shouldn't have the power to be a policeman anymore, at the very least," Paul said at a Mississippi Republican fundraiser, adding that the employment standard for police is "much higher," according to video by the Clarion-Ledger newspaper.

Who is Officer Daniel Pantaleo?

His comments come as Paul aggressively works to expand his appeal among nontraditional GOP voters ahead of his expected presidential campaign.

After the July 17 chokehold incident, Pantaleo was put on modified assignment and stripped of his badge and gun while an investigation into Garner's death was under way.

A grand jury decided last week not to charge Pantaleo, a decision that resulted in racially charged protests across the country.

Protests feature demands, die-ins and calls for justice

Paul, who has said he was "horrified" when watching video of Garner's arrest, made similar comments about police standards last week, saying Pantaleo made "a very unwise decision" and should not be granted power to use "that kind of force."

"I don't think you can have an officer that makes this bad of a decision work as a policeman," Paul said on Fox News' "Hannity." "And I know that sounds sad, but Eric Garner died, and he didn't need to die."

Last week Paul also said politicians were to blame for Garner's death because they passed a law raising the tax on cigarettes, forcing police to be in a tough position of enforcing what he described as outsized penalties.

lol................No matter what your opinion of Ron or Rand Paul is, it doesn't change the fact that Daniel Pantaleo is a badged up, murdering p-o-s cop who got off choking an innocent man to death as the man begged for his life 11 times saying "I can't breathe." Pantaleo should have been indicted for capital murder...............no matter what you think.

[h=1]NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau grills Officer Daniel Pantaleo in review of Eric Garner chokehold death[/h][h=2]IAB investigators interviewed Officer Daniel Pantaleo regarding his actions on July 17, a source said. The interview happened Monday. IAB had to wait for the Staten Island District Attorney's investigation to conclude. Garner can be heard repeatedly saying, "I can't breathe," before he goes limp. The medical examiner later found that a chokehold — along with Garner's poor health — resulted in his death.

The police patrol guide explicitly bars officers from putting "any pressure on the throat or windpipe, which may prevent or hinder breathing or reduce intake of air." It further warns officers that they are required to "intervene if the use of force against a subject clearly becomes excessive. Failure to do so may result in both criminal and civil liability."
It seems pretty clear from the available evidence that pressure was applied to Garner's throat, that breathing was restricted, and that none of the officers intervened even when the use of force became blatantly excessive. So they're all open to criminal and civil liability as well as termination right?

Oh yeah...it says may result in liability. It may also result in paid vacations for these heroic officers. :finger:

Former President Bill Clinton reflected on race relations in America after weeks of protests against police brutality broke out across the country.

In an interview at the Clinton Foundation’s “Future of the Americas” summit in Miami, the former president said that race equality has improved but there are still "preconceptions wired into us and we have got to get beyond them."

Eric Garner Bombshell: Corrupt Police ‘Vendetta’ Led To Chokehold Killing, Stepfather Charges

http://youtu.be/q_okXdb1dtI

Eric Garner, the 43-year-old dad who was choked to death by a New York City police officer in an incident caught on video July 17, was killed due to a police “vendetta” over a complaint Garner had filed in which Garner alleged that police shook him down for money, according to statements by Garner’s stepfather, Benjamin Carr, in an interview for an upcoming documentary.

An excerpt from the upcoming documentary was obtained by the political site The Free Thought Project and posted to YouTube on Monday. The video interview with Carr can be viewed above.

Carr was in the news in early December when TV cameras recorded him calming an outraged protester in the immediate aftermath of a New York City grand jury decision exonerating Daniel Pantaleo, the police officer who placed Eric Garner in what proved to be a fatal chokehold.

While it has been widely reported that police initially approached Garner that day in July because he was allegedly selling untaxed cigarettes, Carr says in the interview that the cops told Garner that the real reason they were confronting him was “a personal matter.”
“I’d like to know what that personal matter is,” Carr says.

The stepfather of Eric Garner also says that police had been shaking down Eric Garner — who had previously been charged with unauthorized cigarette sales on several occasions — and that Garner got sick of it and filed a complaint.

On the video which ends with his death in Pantaleo’s chokehold, Garner is seen becoming angry with the officers, accusing them of repeated harassment.

“Every time you see me, you want to mess with me. I’m tired of it. It stops today. I’m minding my business please just leave me alone,” he says.

According to members of Garner’s family contacted by The Free Thought Project, Garner had been the victim of numerous cases of police harassment and even sexual assault by the police officers.

Indeed, Pantaleo, 29, had been sued three times for misconduct involving his treatment of suspects, including one lawsuit which alleged that Pantaleo and other officers conducted “humiliating and unlawful strip searches in public view.”

Two men handcuffed by Pantaleo and the other police charged that the cops, “pulled down the plaintiffs’ pants and underwear, and touched and searched their genital areas, or stood by while this was done in their presence.”

The two men who sued in that case maintained they were arrested for no reason, and charges against them were ultimately dismissed.

In the documentary footage, an interviewer asks Benjamin Carr if he believes Eric Garner was killed because he was black.

“I wouldn’t really say because Eric was a black man. It’s due to the fact that they stole money from him and refused to give him his money, and he filed charges against them,” Carr replied. “This is why they had a vendetta against him.”

The Free Thought Project said that its reporters called New York Police repeatedly to confirm that Eric Garner had filed a complaint against police officers, but the calls were not answered or returned.

The Eric Garner case exposed a side of America that many would prefer not to look at.

I disagree with the sentiment expressed by this video. The narrator said "This is not an issue that can be decided by violence."

I believe that unfortunately violence is the only option that's left to the masses, but I do agree that violence directed at fellow serfs just because they have a different skin color is counter-productive. Likewise property destruction will change nothing. I believe violence should be properly directed at our oppressors regardless of their race. TPTB continue to use racial tensions to divide the masses, this should not be allowed to succeed. Garner's murder, like Kelly Thomas' murder, should not be seen as a racial issue, but should be seen as a tyranny issue.
