An Introduction to Shooting with Night Vision
TFB TV

Published on Aug 22, 2018
Night vision for civilians used to be exorbitantly expensive, if not prohibited in some places. However, as technology has improved, the devices have gotten to a point where civilians can now afford very decent night vision devices at a price that you don't have to take a second mortgage out on. In this episode, we break down some myths and talk about some of the practical lessons that are important to take into account when looking at night vision devices. But more importantly, we look at the ability to actually engage a target through while donning night vision and how to best go about it.

Although it appears as simple as turning night into day through the use of a device, there is much more involved to the ability to not only see at night, but also to shoot accurately. Lasers cause blooming effects that can obscure targets, gear mounted on rifles can get in the way of manipulating them during malfunctions. Even the presence of outside lights during the shooting can drastically affect the performance of the devices themselves

HOW GOOD IS AN $18 AMAZON SCOPE? - THE GOOD, BAD, AND UGLY!

I can't put a link for the scope, here. If you want to know more about this scope, just go to Amazon and search for "Sonicking Tacticle Scope". I must say, the glass was incredibly clear for an $18 scope. I just wouldn't put it on my 300 Win Mag any time soon. However, it is available for Amazon Prime! - BONUS!!!!

Candela vs Lumens: Why It Matters And What You Need To Know!
Mrgunsngear Channel

Zeiss Conquest V6 3-18x50 DESIGN PARAMETERS ~ Rex Reviews
TiborasaurusRex

Published on Sep 6, 2018
After an interesting discussion with the Zeiss personnel following our first two video review uploads of this product, I wanted to share with you some additional information concerning this optic. Number one, this entire optic is manufactured at the Wetzlar plant in Germany. I believe this is why we saw perfect tracking precision, which surprised me as this is marketed as a sporting scope. Number two, all of the lenses in the scope are Schott fluoride apochromatically corrected glass. That is truly top notch. Number three, the second focal plane reticle is scaled to give 2 moa subtensions at 18x. The major Christmas tree branch vertical sub tensions come out to be spaced at 5moa14 X. There are new reticles coming out in the future. In all actuality, after learning what we did concerning the adjustment mechanisms and glass configuration of this scope, I may be able to tell you this is the nicest hunting scope I have seen to date. Check it out.

Have you ever seen one of these? AXEON Second Zero ~ Rex Reviews
TiborasaurusRex

Published on Sep 13, 2018
The AXEON Second Zero is an interesting accessory invented to give you a boost in range on your standard daytime optic. It is a simple prism device that will add an additional 11.5 or 4.3 minutes of angle to you 100 yard zero. Standby for the full testing and evaluation of this very interesting thinking outside the box product.

AXEON's product description: The Axeon Second Zero is a precision optical device that gives any rifle shooter an instant additional zero distance whether in a hunting or tactical application. Its an aiming device used in conjunction with your shooting optics and works with all optical sights from rifle scopes to dot sights. The patented Second Zero™, is a prism driven optical device. It will revolutionize the way you achieve accuracy at long distances. The device simply mounts forward of a traditional scope, red dot, acog, or other optic. Your optics function normally when the Second Zero™ is not being used. When engaged, the prisms of the Second Zero™, which can be selected based on a hunters specific ammunition load, shifts the image to compensate for bullet drop. Simply place the crosshairs on the target just as you would at 100 yards. You leave your optic sighted in at 100 yards and your Second Zero™ provides you an additional distance depending on the load you shoot out of your rifle.

Wolf PSU NPZ 1-4x Scope Review & Zero Testing
InRangeTV

Published on Oct 20, 2018
The Wolf PSU NPZ 1-4x scope is a direct Elcan competitor in that it's a flip lever between 1 and 4x, theoretically being the best of both worlds encompassed in one optic.

Ian used this scope on his left handed Spuhr enhanced G3 at the recent Arizona Independence Day Rifle match and experienced a very weird issue in that he did better at long range (4x) then he did at close range while using the 1x setting.

We zeroed this rifle at 4x, for obvious reasons, and assumed that was fine. A question has arisen, however: is there a problem with this scope in regards to zero shift when going between 1 and 4x?

InRange is entirely viewer supported:

AXEON Second Zero TESTING & EVALUATION ~ Rex Reviews
TiborasaurusRex

Published on Nov 6, 2018
The Axeon Second Zero is an optical device that gives the rifle shooter an instant additional zero distance whether in a hunting or tactical application. It’s basically an aiming device used in conjunction with any optical sight, whether it be a rifle scope or a red dot. The Second Zero uses a prism that simply mounts forward of a traditional scope, red dot, ACOG, or other optic. Your optics function normally when the Second Zero is not being used. When engaged, the prisms of the Second Zero, which can be selected based on the user’s specific ammunition load, shifts the image to compensate for bullet drop. Simply place the crosshairs dead on. It is a pretty interesting device and an option for converting a traditional hunting scope or a red dot sight without BDC capability into a viable medium range system. Check it out.

How to get over 5,000 yds of Scope Elevation: TACOMHQ Charlie Tarac Set-Up ~ Rex Reviews
TiborasaurusRex

Published on Nov 15, 2018
An exclusive, secret glimpse into a very elusive ELR rifle trade secret... The Charlie Tarac from TACOMHQ is an optical accessory that adds zero to 1,000 MOA (or 300 Mils) to scopes instantly without having to change your rails, rings, cheek piece, or 100 yard zero. Each Charlie unit is preset to an exact MIL or MOA (true not shooter's MOA) value custom to each order.

The TACOMHQ Charlie Tarac reflects a target image via mirrors like a periscope with an exact offset. Instead of tilting the scope, requiring slanted rails, elevated scope rings, and changing your cheek position (a real pain in the neck), the Charlie shifts the target image optically so you change nothing. Set your rifle at 100 yards and add the Charlie only when you need it, and even works with thermal optics for night operations.

The Charlie Tarac includes a scope mount or rail adapter. The scope mount threads directly to your scope like a sunshade and the Charlie attaches magnetically (takes less than 40 seconds to setup). The rail mount is featured with a quick release from either LaRue or BoBro. There are no special tools or wrenches, everything is designed with you - the end user - in mind; therefore, bolts are commonly found at Ace Hardware or comparable stores.

For long range, the Charlie is incomparably fast and accurate, giving you the ability to shoot the reticle or use your scope's turrets for precise final adjustment. TACOMHQ recommends using the Macro Delta Tarac with your Charlie for values exceeding 300 MOA (or 100 MIL) to prevent your muzzle intercepting your scope's line of sight.

The Charlie can also be set to as little as 10 MIL so you can shoot any target (with the right round) under a mile using just your reticle and on full mag. Never touch your turrets, saving you time, clicks (approximately 50 to 100), and your zero. Just point, aim, and shoot.
