I saw that elsewhere, I think they said it was because "conditioning".
FIFY

Want to mess with someone. Just ask when we will be able to take them off and do not say another thing. They tie themselves in knots....... just smile (without a mask)!

I saw that elsewhere, I think they said it was because "set example".

In other words, what we've known all along. Nothing but complete and utter virtue signaling BS.

People's State of Mask-achusettz
The leftist pussies in MA are all still complying with the useless, meaningless mask decrees. I get the look wherever I go, but not many people have had the balls to call me out on it to my face. Instead, they pick up the phone and snitch to the state officails. I probably brought heat down on my barber for showing up without a mask today, he agrees with my stance but has had state and local officials down his back so he has to play their sick little game.

So, you don't need to wear masks and distance when you are looting and rioting for the left, but you do if you go about your business peacefully and especially if you attend to a Trump rally, according to the MSM. What a bunch of pricks. I still think it's Trump by a landslide on Nov-3, there are a lot of quietly outraged people just waiting.

As I was walking into a store yesterday, a security guard asked me if I had a mask. I said, "No."

He asked if I would buy one. I said, "No." and kept on walking.

I spoke with a police officer in my hometown this past weekend while we were doing some volunteer work, together. He was wearing a mask and brought up the CDC guidelines because I wasn't wearing a mask like him. I asked him if he knew that the CDC guidelines stated that it was healthy to not wear a mask while protesting. He admitted he did not know that. I told him I was peacefully protesting, so I should be fine. He agreed.

Educating folks one person at a time. If that's what it takes.

he's got it right. the insane bolshevik b.s. will continue unless/until they fear the consequences of their actions
Yeah but now you gotta shoot some covering fire over the heads of one or two of them to show we mean what we say. Loud noises scare politicians. Talk is cheap and action is what gets their attention.

My favorite is the person who wears the mask over their mouth but leaves their nose uncovered to fend for itself.

That's probably somebody who doesn't believe in masks and would much rather not wear one but doesn't quite have the courage to face everybody else's disapproval.

Somewhat agree That's how I wear a mask during the times I'm given no choice. The last time was when I took my grandkids to a local funpark. It wasn't going to destroy their good time day by protesting and not wearing mask was not an option on their premises. I was asked to cover my nose on several occasions during the day and I told each of them to pound sand. They didn't throw me out.

Picked up my sis at the airport in Mesa, smaller building for arrival and bag pickup. Maskless...only one, no comments or stares, like I was invisible. Was waiting for a comment so I could do my deaf person act...no such luck.

It's like being the negative of Zorro, everyone recognizes YOU, YOU don't know anyone. What a plot twist!

It's not education - it's the force of government.

Here at Wally World, locally...they have uniformed police officers (taking over the duties of Walmart blackshirts) enforcing the Mask Mandate.

The HEALF DEE PARTMENT....ORDERED these G D masks worn. Think of that. HEALTH PROFESSIONALS ordering this jackass let's-pretend safety diaper.

There's no debating it.

I no longer shop at Wally World - the law is the law, but they are PAYING those off-duty cops to harass what they used to think of as their customers.

I trade elsewhere.

That's very common.

There's a lot of people who do understand how asinine this thing is; but they dare not speak.

I'm in Montana but I'm in a liberal city, where government employment is the biggest occupation, and second-biggest is university employment. So Leftist madness is the order of the day, and those who actually think for themselves, have to shut up to survive.

Jeffrey A. Tucker of the American Institute for Economic Research put it best in his excellent essay on July 10 titled, When will the Madness End?:

“I’m a practicing psychiatrist who specializes in anxiety disorders, paranoid delusions, and irrational fear. I’ve been treating this in individuals as a specialist. It’s hard enough to contain these problems in normal times. What’s happening now is a spread of this serious medical condition to the whole population. It can happen with anything but here we see a primal fear of disease turning into mass panic. It seems almost deliberate. It is tragic. Once this starts, it could take years to repair the psychological damage.”

Im sorry but i couldn't get past the first sentence :p

The training was good - back when it was non-political.

Just as WIkipedia is a good source - for anything or anyone who's not somehow become politicized. Want to know about the history of the Hupmobile? Wikipedia will tell you.

But not the history of the Louisville & Nashville, because the Woke 'groids are suing it for Reparations.

NOW, you can no longer trust the WHO, or OSHA, or ANY of them. They have an agenda now - Masks (factually, worthless) are magic protectors of the bad Beer Virus. CHQ, BAD! Because, of course, they WANT moar deaths. They WANT panic, and they WANT acceptance of their quack vaccine.

The high P-value indicates that there is not a statistically significant difference between these two (rather small) samples of symptomatic individuals based on whether masks are worn or not worn. In other words, masks made no difference in this study.
Now you made me look up p-value. Thanks for the pointing out the statistical measure. Learning all the time. Even though my best thinking is first thing in the morning, it's going to take some more caffeine to process the input.
