"Barfuss told St. George News that 20 hard drives were seized during a search of Krampf’s residence, including a 4-terabyte hard drive that was connected to one of several computers recovered by police.
During a forensic review of that hard drive, he said investigators found “thousands, upon thousands, upon thousands” of inappropriate images and videos of children.
“With 19 hard drives still to go, we knew we had a bigger problem,” Barfuss said. “So we decided to send everything to the FBI field office and get the U.S. Attorney’s Office involved at that point.”

Colerain Township man indicted on 23 sex charges involving children
COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio —A man was indicted Monday on multiple sex charges, including rape, that involved four victims, some under 10 years old, according to Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters.
Deters said Nicholas Howell, 36, was indicted on 23 counts, including 11 counts of rape, 11 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and one count of gross sexual imposition.
Deters said Howell and the four victims were all family acquaintances.
The incidents took place at his house in Colerain Township and after the sexual abuse, Howell would often buy their silence with money or gift cards, Deters said.
One of the victims later told an adult what was happening, and the Colerain Township police were called and started their investigation.
"I am always saddened to comment on cases such as this, because it means that children were the victims of a sexual predator. I have said it before and will say it again, it is hard to understand how someone takes advantage of children. This case is especially disturbing given the fact that there are four victims and multiple incidents. My victim advocate and assistant prosecutor assigned to this case will do everything they can to help the victims through this difficult process and obtain the justice they deserve," Deters said.
If convicted of all charges, Howell faces multiple mandatory life sentences and life time sex offender registration because some victims were under 10 years of age when the incidents occurred and some involved using force to gain submission of a victim under the age of 13, Deters said.

Bill & Ted star Alex Winter has revealed he suffered from “extreme PTSD” after experiencing sexual abuse as a child actor.
Winter, who reprises his role as Bill alongside Keanu Reeves in belated sequel Bill & Ted Face the Music, said that he was starring in a Broadway production of The King and I when he was abused by an older actor. Winter has said that the actor is now dead, and that he has never named him.
“I had extreme PTSD for many, many years, and that will wreak havoc on you,” Winter told The Guardian. “It’s a way in which you relate to the world around you and to yourself, and it’s very nuanced, but you can become very fractured. So you slowly compartmentalise. You keep this thing over here, you keep that thing over there, and you don’t have any natural equilibrium. That fracturing just gets worse and worse and worse.”
Winter compared his mental state in his mid-20s to being “held together with duct tape”.
“[That age is] when you see kids overdosing or blowing their heads off,” he added. “In my case, I was just like, I need to stop doing this thing where these eyes are on me all the time and I don’t feel safe or comfortable … I just want to go ride the subway and help raise a family and do my writing and directing.”
Winter also said that he had no recourse when the abuse occurred.
He explained: “If what happened to me then had happened to me now, I would have walked right up to a stage manager or anybody and just said: ‘Hey, you know what? This is happening; what do I do?’ Those words didn’t come out of my mouth until I was in my 40s.”
Along with Bill & Ted Face the Music, Winter has also directed the new documentary Showbiz Kids, in which he and fellow former child stars including ET’s Henry Thomas and Matilda’s Mara Wilson share their experiences of early fame.
In the documentary, Wilson revealed she was regularly sent fan letters by “creepy old men” while still a child.
