I don’t recall Kaepernick saying that he personally was oppressed.

None of the players are saying that they, themselves, are oppressed. Kaepernick made kind of splash and then it started dieing down until Trump, the draft dodger, started tweeting about it. Each team has 53 players and only one, or two, or maybe three take a knee.

The whole thing has been blown way out of proportion.

A customer of mine told me, that he called his stock broker and told him to sell his Nike stock. Guy is rich and a military vet. Even if he loses cash selling the Nike stock, it is the principle of it.
He took a nice profit and dumped a stock that didn't pay great dividends, he would have been a bigger fool to hold on to it. It is an overpriced stock...
