Tax filings reveal Biden cancer charity spent millions on salaries, zero on research
New York Post

A cancer charity started by Joe Biden gave out no money to research, and spent most of its contributions on staff salaries, federal filings show.
The Biden Cancer Initiative was founded in 2017 by the former vice president and his wife Jill Biden to “develop and drive implementation of solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes,” according to its IRS mission statement. But it gave out no grants in its first two years, and spent millions on the salaries of former Washington DC aides it hired.
The charity took in $4,809,619 in contributions in fiscal years 2017 and 2018, and spent $3,070,301 on payroll in those two years. The group’s president, Gregory Simon, raked in $429,850 in fiscal 2018 (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019), according to the charity’s most recent federal tax filings.
poor joe, he just can't get any of it right...and to think, his wife is a doctor...probably a proctologist

what is Kip short for?
Kipling?

A triviality, but I got curious. Some people say Kip is short for Kevin or Christopher, or Kipling or Kasper. Others say Kip is just short for Kip.

Kipper = herring like in Kipper Snacks or other types of cured herring
Kipling, as Gimli said above and probably the logical choice but the only example I can think of is a surname like in Rudyard Kipling.
Could also be a contraction or diminutive derived from the name Skip which could have been pronounced as Kip by a younger sibling and the family just kept it that way.

Had a friend whose given name was Francis. Typically the the diminutive of Francis is Frank, however, in his case the family used the feminine diminutive of Frannie. He wore that name proudly. Being a big galoot few were ever bold or brazen enough to tease him about it. To the few who were daring enough he stood them down and in one case beat down. Generally though, such teasing just rolled off his back like water off of a duck. Last I heard he headed west to California I believe.

German banking giant Deutsche Bank is calling for a “privilege tax” to be imposed on people who work from home, to erase their savings from not having to commute or pay for food on their lunch breaks.

Writing in a paper for the bank titled What Must We Do to Rebuild? analyst Luke Templeman lamented the fact that “remote workers are contributing less to the infrastructure of the economy whilst still receiving its benefits.”

“That is a big problem for the economy,” he complained — as if spending much of one’s pay on commuting, dry-cleaning work clothes, and so on to boost the GDP is something of a civic duty — and proposed a 5 per cent “privilege tax” to recoup the economy’s imagined “loss”.

“Working from home will be part of the ‘new normal’ well after the pandemic has passed,” explained Jim Reid, Global Head of Fundamental Credit Strategy and Thematic Research at the German banking corporation.

“Our calculations suggest the amounts raised [from taxing home workers] could fund material income subsidies for low-income earners who are unable to work remotely and thus assume more ‘old economy’ and health risks,” he suggested.

Their estimated tax take from the scheme in Britain stands is £7 billion, with the potential to grab €20 billion (£17.8 billion) in Germany and $49 billion (£37 billion) in America.
