Ok, so a couple weeks ago Provident had a promotion where they sold their custom prospector rounds for X cents over spot where X was the place their sponsored NASCAR driver finished in a race. IIRC he finished 41st, so 41 cents over spot for up to 100 of these rounds. I bought 100 and MAN AM I GLAD I DID!!! These are IMO the best darn silver rounds I've ever seen, period! I like these more than ASE's, even if they were the same price. I don't have the photography skills to do these justice, but they are spectacular--even better than the pics on Provident's website. They are extremely detailed.

Here's a link to the rounds, but they appear to be out of stock ATM: http://www.providentmetals.com/provident-metals-prospector-1-oz-silver-round.html

At .41 over spot I'm pretty sure they were WAY cheaper than ASEs.
You think? My point is the quality of these are just as good if not better, IMO.

Here are three YouTube videos showing the rounds...

These stunning Prospector 1 Oz. Silver Rounds are brand new and manufactured by the most respected private mint in the USA. The obverse (front) features the rugged image of a mid-nineteenth century prospector standing in a rocky valley. Holding a pickaxe and his trusty sluice pan, a faithful mule stands by his side. Each round is inscribed with the word PROSPECTOR. The reverse features a sextant — a navigation tool used to measure angular distances and altitudes — along with a compass, both placed atop a map on a wooden surface. The rustic design includes the inscription ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER.

I'm gonna play Debbie downer ...the horses head bothers me for some reason compared to it's body and the face of the prospector reminds me of the head orangutan from planet of the apes.

Thanks. I was wondering what they looked like in person.

I find most generic rounds to be of very poor quality.
