Chinese state media calls on EU to reject US government pressure over 5G

As US ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland is tasked with helping to maintain good ties between the United States and the EU. However, he has been busy lately trying to sabotage relations between the EU and China.

Sondland is just one of many US diplomats lobbying and coercing allies to ban China's Huawei Technologies from its 5G networks, to advance US commercial and geopolitical interests.

Huawei has rejected such US accusations, saying the company"has a clean track record on cybersecurity" and is "committed to work with European institutions to develop a cybersecurity standard for Europe".

The truth is, despite desperate US efforts to defame Huawei's reputation and halt its rise, no one has provided any evidence of Chinese intelligence agencies spying with the help of technological backdoors or implants in Chinese-made equipment, whether from Huawei or ZTE, another Chinese telecom giant.

Instead, there is solid evidence following the Edward Snowden whistleblowing revelations that the US National Security Agency has conducted such practices with and without the help of Silicon Valley giants.

That's assuming that the real funding isn't already being drawn from the big military budget or that he is going to merely settle on $4B.

Q has just confirmed that prosecutions will take place. It has to be this way in order to ensure it NEVER happens again. People need to be executed as an example to future generations. Executed for TREASON. Others will be convicted and given prison time. Still others will be convicted and excluded from future involvement in certain things. Trump should tell Congress to stick it and simply use money from that +$850B military budget from the last Omnibus tax bill. From what I understand he can spend the money in whatever way he feels is the most appropriate based on need as leader of the free world :)

How do you deter & prevent this from happening again?
Simply by terminating employment of those responsible?
Simply by conducting a few 'non-threatening' investigations?
Or by:
Prosecuting those responsible to the fullest extent of the law?
Setting up new checks & balances and oversight designed to increase transparency?
Provide OIG office(s) w/ funding inc (size) ++ authority?
Provide select committees w/ access and in-house viewing of non NAT SEC CLAS material?
Provide a check on Directors/Dep Directors/Asst Directors of all such ABC agencies?
Establish 'financial checks/reviews' of those in senior (critical) positions (audits) + direct family (close proximity)?
Transparency and Prosecution is the only way forward to save our Republic and safeguard such criminal and treasonous acts from occurring again.
While some want to quietly remove those responsible and go about our business (save face on the World Stage), those in control, understand, this band-aid will simply not work.
Nobody should be above the law (no matter how massive the spider-web is (entangled)).
This will never happen again.
