Put in a garden in a new plot a couple weeks back and found the turtle hangout. Had been cutting down shrubs and found this first guy then a couple days later found the other one hunkered down while clearing more.

Saw this one last year, on a late August evening — that's a 4X4 post he's on.

Moth 020.jpg

And this one today. (4X4 post also, but there's only about ¾ of it showing)

Yellow Caterpillar.jpg

I'm no entomologist (nor can I spell it) but I'll bet these two are the same type of bug.

They are not the same. The adult is a moth, and the larvae is a butterfly. Larvae of moths are woolie, whereas butterfly larvae dont have hair.

I did not know that about moths being woolie. I did some searching I think Bottom Feeder's caterpillar may actually be a Cimbex americana (Elm sawfly larva). I am no expert though.

Did it have any bullet holes in it?
Prolly not, over there in Qmerica.
Out here in the wild west left coast it would look like used up punch card.

No, it smelled like patchouli and new sneakers.

That's a picture of what's left of a black widow sharks mate. After copulation the female devours her male partner.
Classic look on his face says it all. "WTF honey...was good for me..not you?...Arrrggghhhh"

Those first two pics of Barry look like a young Bush Jr. I wonder if they are related. Weird.

Transfagarasan is considered by many the best driving road in the world. The engineers that designed the road did such a tremendous job that, as Jeremy Clarkson said, it is like every famous corner from every famous racing track was put in it.
