I think the times in your post might be a bit off. Totality should begin around 11:29PM EDT and finish around 12:54AM EDT. Granted, yours mentions EST, I think most areas are on daylight time and that would be off in the wrong direction, unless my tired sun-baked mind isn't working right.Could be photo opportunity for some....

When are you to visit? Barnacle Bob was just here last week. Weather's perfect for grilling salmon by the beach.

this is as good as I could shoot using a tripod and manual focus. I could barely see the image so it's a bit fuzzy. Autofocus couldn't find it.

I think you are correct. We're on Daylight Savings time (I think?) we change the time in Spring and Fall.
It looks pretty sweet here in eastern colorado, close to the ks line.
