I called them Boar balls and despite asking to repeat the name three times all I can remember is rum something and it's related to the lychee fruit. Inside is a clear kind of grape looking thing that tastes like a wonderful plum with a bit of water chestnut texture with the flavors of Maple and brown sugar.

Here's a picture that I did not take but REALLY wish I had, or at least the opportunity. It is in China from the bottom of a 600-foot-deep sinkhole that had been there for at least centuries.

Isn't this just beautiful?
