Looks like a Great Horned Owl. Nice shot! Camera?
That it is! She was sleeping (they're nocturnal) in the tree for about 2 hours until this Sharp-shinned Hawk decided enough was enough, flew in squawking and chased her away.

Canon D60 with an 18-135 lens

I just bought this lens yesterday... Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM Lens

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/732106-USA/Canon_4426B002_EF_70_300mm_f_4_5_6L_IS.html

I paid $879 for it used. Killer pics so far. Getting used to using it. Only down side is apertures. Low light is problematic.

It is a very rare peafowl. Peacock. They are wild around here. I feed them every morning and evening. (Corn and sunflower seeds)

I prefer the gaudy ones that live at my place. About one in 2-3 hundred will be white.

LATE EDIT ADD: Fargin pair (brothers) that claim Chateau Snedeker as "home" are so tame, they darn near push me out of the way when I am putting the sunflower seeds out. I can pet them. Giant chickums.

Thanks GH. Impressive work. As a kid I often dreamed of being a photographer for National Geographic.

I applied for a job at National Geographic.

I wanted to be the Humor Editor.
Something tells me you would'a ruffled their feathers over there.
