SSL 173 ~ TIKI Chatter ~ 18month African Grey Parrot First Words Rick Moore
Published on Jun 6, 2017
Yes, TIKI, our African Grey Parrot that lives onboard "SOPHISTICATED LADY" with us, is really coming into her own lately... African Greys are notoriously good talkers but at only 18 months old she's definitely getting an early start.. you can hear her already working on several different voices and many new words that I'm sure she'll be much more fluent in the very near future! Hope you enjoy her intermission recital, and tomorrow we'll get back to our re-fit so we can get back to sailing! Thanks for watching! :)

SSL 183 ~ SAFE after Tropical Storm 'BRET'... Or are We..?!? Rick Moore
Published on Jun 20, 2017
Yes, Tropical Storm BRET turned safely South of us and struck Trinidad instead (sorry Trinidad), so we managed to skirt that one, but now the next one is lining up behind it... so we're still tracking!
Thanks for your support everyone, look forward to hearing from you as always!
SSL 019 ~ The LOST EPISODES RETURN! (in 4K UltraHD) Rick Moore
Published on Jun 25, 2017
Yes, just to REALLY mess you up in our timeline, now we will return to almost one year ago with Nate and Jordan onboard to resume our trip South... this series had to be put on hold due to our work commitments, but now with Brenden back in Canada for the summer he has taken the backlogged episodes with him to help fill in the timeline, and this is the first missing episode... so stay tuned for more until we get them caught up... mixed in of course with some real-time episodes just to keep things confused and interesting for you.. Lol
Hope you enjoy, and don't forget to share! :)

Gouyave is a remote fishing village up in the Northwestern side of Grenada... a beautifully picturesque little town with friendly locals, relaxed atmosphere, and the biggest congregation of fisherman in the area... in fact, Gouyave is host to a fish fry every Friday night, all year long... and always a good time! :)
Hope you enjoy the video, and don't forget to share!

SSL 192 ~ Shascha hit by dinghy while snorkelling.. during preparations for Tropical Storm DON Rick Moore
Published on Jul 19, 2017
Shascha had a VERY close call when struck by a dinghy in the anchorage yesterday, she was snorkelling over the anchor as we were resetting it in preparation for the arrival of Tropical Storm DON which was due in just a few short hours... she was INCREDIBLY lucky that she wasn't just one foot closer or the prop would have gone right down her back and ripped her to shreds...
This is purely an example of what can happen even when you think everyone is paying attention, it is no fault of anyone, and no blame is being laid, but illustrates a warning to all to exercise extreme caution in the water, whether swimming or snorkelling or driving a dinghy in a busy anchorage.

These are the first images and video clips I found coming out of St Martin in the wake of the first half of HURRICANE IRMA passing over the Island. The eye passed over early this morning and now they are receiving the East quadrant of IRMA as she moves on towards the British Virgin Islands (BVI)... All our best wishes go out to all those dealing with this storm.. please be safe!
SSL 205 ~ Devastation of HURRICANE IRMA in St Martin & British Virgin Islands Ambient Real Life
Published on Sep 7, 2017
HURRICANE IRMA is definitely taking her toll and destroying everything in her path. This update features some of the first aerials and images I was able to find on social media of the affected areas, including Tortola in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), and many areas of St Martin shot just after Hurricane IRMA.
The storm is still spinning as a huge category 5 hurricane with 180mph winds at the eye... current forecast has her heading straight for Florida next, so anything you can do to get out of her way is extremely advisable!

Edited by Rick, this episode is more of an example of one of our VIMEO episodes since so many viewers have been asking what is the difference. The Youtube version of this video would have been 9 minutes total, so you have 9 extra minutes of extended scenes, previously deleted scenes, sailing, managing the boat, etc.
Let me know how you like it, look forward to your comments below!
