Given the current disarray in the US and the Mid East Im smelling a surge in metals this week, I would be surprised if we don't tack on 5% in both silver and gold, question is does it sustain the gain, will the shorts decide to cover?

The recent surge in silver because of Iraq will probably lift it to $20 and possibly make a run to the $22 resistence level but I feel that it will fail to hold $22 (if it gets to that point) because the "Iraq" effect will "wear off" and silver will just resume its downward trend. I still see silver breaking the 2013 intra-day low of $18.14 on the downside this Summer. I am still thinking $14-$15 as the low for silver for this year.

EDIT: As to the answer to the OP, Yeah you can bake the "$20 cake" for silver but it will have to be eaten very quickly because silver will just go back down like the DOG that it is. :)

With silver closing so close to a resistance area, I think we might get a smackdown tomorrow. However, I'm hoping we continue higher. This would signal this rally is for real, and will continue on.

The legendary Richard Russell said a few weeks ago, if silver hits and holds $19.25, which it has, it will start it's parabolic rise. I hitch my wagons to very few proven horses, he is one proven, legendary, 90 year old horse who puts his money where his mouth is. Your rocket is not applicable, this is more like it, ( I saw an Antonov take off this morning). Shemitah is fast approaching.

One can argue if we will get there tomorrow or not. However, the stocks are signaling that we will get there soon!
If you don't get in soon, you will be left behind. This train is leaving the station.

I bought some more shares in my favorite miners today, and will be adding more

The real reason for the slow rise is I stepped out of the balloon...Less weight = rise :36_2_36:

Ugh

I was delaying buying a number of items for the last two weeks as I thought spot would slide back down a bit. Clearly a world class market timer I am not :bear_laugh:.

First it was rockets, now it's cakes?

Man, didn't expect all this icing on the cake.
Yeah, but if ya gotta use it all, might as well make it purdy! :D

That's three of us. We can't be that lucky. $18.93. I made three dollars already.
Explain please.
Silver, Mr Paradise, and I bought at the same time. Usually when someone times a buy, it's not the bottom, but at least three of us were close. We can't be that lucky so expect it to go to $18 even.

According to my order, silver was $18.93 when I purchased.

The small amount I could afford to buy then (all-in) has increased in value by three dollars--rah.

It was just my attempt at cautiously sharing in the jubilation. In the end, my total silver profits won't change my life so doesn't really matter. I mainly do it for fun.

Any profit always feels good. Being a life long farmer I understand that part of things. I'm good at forgetting bad deals though.

It's only profit if it's in ounces.
