Husqvarna 359 intake tract fitment issues on a 350
Matthew Olson

If you are looking for aftermarket chainsaw parts, please support my channel by buying from these guys http://www.hlsproparts.com/?Click=48376

Disclaimer: ladies and gents, this is a CHAINSAW, working with, building and fiddling with these can KILL YOU, I am not and will not be responsible for improper technique or accidents even remotely relating to this video, please view for entertainment purposes only.

2 issues with the husky 350 getting fitted with a 359 intake tract... one is the more obvious choke lever holder that needs to fit by grinding down the plastic chassis of the 350. won't hurt anything to do that. 2nd is that the throttle shaft end on the flywheel side tends to rub on the floor if it isn't trimmed somehow. ...if it rubs, it might rub FULL THROTTLE and that'd be bad.

Husqvarna 572xp vs. Stihl ms461
hotsaws101

Published on Mar 31, 2018
3/31/18
Just before Easter. Thankful for the sacrifice that was given at Calvary.

My first test runs with a Husqvarna 572xp. Really smooth power delivery would be my initial thought. A bit deceiving actually. If it has the "leaked" 39mm stroke number then the 572 might just be a force once properly "tuned".
In the cuts it felt good and even seemed to have a little bit down low when I pulled on the pistol grip about 2/3 of the way through. Did the same, best I could anyway, with the 461.
Upon viewing the times for the runs, both came in around 22 seconds in the first attempt where I let them both feed themselves, and 20 seconds in the last taste test. Seems as though the 572 was just a fuzz quicker (I did mention it had deceiving power already) in the second run where a little pressure was applied the pistol grip.
I mentioned at around 12:32 that the 462 might be a little quicker. After viewing the timed runs here and the 462 vs. 46

Air Temperature and the effect on tuning Chainsaw Carburetors - A demonstration
afleetcommand

Published on Apr 7, 2018
Now...there are TWO conditions that "enhance" this effect on this saw..

First there was a stiff wind blowing directly at the door side of the garage...more pressure.

Second there is a "mod" on that particular saw that also will make it more susceptible because of the intake volume and resultant air velocity across the jet..I'll let the smart ones figure that one out..:)

Even so, all saws with the exception of the Autotune and M-tronic saws will do something similar, some more than others...(reference condition 2)

And as has been mentioned in the comments the impact under load at high RPM's is equally significant if not more so. On that saw I had a 400 rpm swing at no load.

I found some significant price reductions on seed and fertilizer from a "Siteone landscape supply" dealer locally. These stores were formerly John Deer landscape dealers.
1523673948720.png

This was $18.82 for a 50 pound bag that will cover a stated 13,000 area. Scotts etc at the big orange box store has Scotts and a few others for about 3 times that price for that coverage

I know this is an equipment thread but thought it might fit in here
btw 50 pounds of fescue seed was 58.64

For those of you in the areas where there is spring already, we just got 7 inches of wet dirty snow. I needed access to the garage so in making an area to drive through I over worked my John Deere 8-32 Snow Blower and had to check it the next day.
The first You Tube video I ever made was in the refurbishing of this snow-blower. 2012 was the year. Here is the link

HOW-TO Re-Seal The Engine Block On A Stihl 4-MIX BR500 | BR550 | BR600 Leaf Blower
donyboy73

Published on Apr 26, 2018
In this video I show you how to re-seal the engine block on a Stihl Br500-600 leaf blower.
Some symptoms that may indicate that you need to do this repair are that your machine may be hard to start, it may bog when throttling up and may lack power.

It is a good idea to check your carburetor first for defects before attempting this repair.

Crank seals are part #9639 003 1584
Sealant used is "DIRKO"

Husqvarna 272 build, part 1, crankcase assembly - bolt for bolt!
Matthew Olson

Published on Apr 25, 2018
If you are looking for aftermarket chainsaw parts, please support my channel by buying from these guys:

Disclaimer: ladies and gents, this is a CHAINSAW, working with, building and fiddling with these can KILL YOU, I am not and will not be responsible for improper technique or accidents even remotely relating to this video, please view for entertainment purposes only.

Up today we have a fresh build of a 272xp! This saw is a complete mish mosh of new / used and aftermarket parts.

I used nachi bearings on this build, and I think oem seals.

A must for the bottom end is to replace the large o-ring on the oiler. It seals between the oiler and the case. OEM is the only option here.

I used 1184 by threebond and loctite 518 anaerobic sealer and red/blue loctite for the bolts.

my email is in the video if you are looking for a set of the custom tools for putting crankcases together.

you can use hot/cold for putting the bearings in the case halves, but for this I like the cold method with the threaded rod, washers and nuts. I used 1/2" rod for the bearing seating jig.

stay tuned for part 2!

Husqvarna 272 build, part 2, port work

Port work on the 272. If you are building a stock saw you can largely skip this part. The formula on this build is an exhaust of 103, 123, intake 78. base gasket delete, squish aimed for around .020" , though I think we ended up slightly tighter at the end.
if you have machine tools, .030" off the squish band is even better, and then set your squish accordingly.

less is more with the transfers here.

I'd like to thank Joe P - Onan18 on the forums for his advice on this build. He has a sweet pictures thread on opeforum on how to build this saw.
