Repowering tiller and other equipment is easier than you think
sixtyfiveford

Published on Jun 1, 2016
Give new life to an old piece of equipment. You'll be amazed by it's new found usefulness.

Old pressure washers are a gold mine for spare, low hours, great condition engines for tiller, power racks, snowblowers, etc. They generally have the appropriate shaft and mounting bolts(I've never seen one that didn't). Don't concern yourself too much with horsepower as you will notice little to no difference in the 5-8hp range on power equipment. 8hp and up pressure washers will generally have a 1" keyed shaft and 6hp and less will have a 3/4" keyed shaft.

Note: These 212cc Predator engines are a great replacement for the Troy-Bolt Horse/econo horse tiller with the Tecumseh, Briggs, or Kohler. Those engines were special built with a 3/4" shaft even though they came with up to a 10hp.

If you are looking for aftermarket chainsaw parts, please support my channel by buying from:

Disclaimer: ladies and gents, this is a CHAINSAW, working with, building and fiddling with these can KILL YOU, I am not and will not be responsible for improper technique or accidents even remotely relating to this video, please view for entertainment purposes only.

In this video, I am dismantling a 455 rancher. It likely was straight gassed. In part 2 I will rebuild the saw.

I can give a spoiler right here and say this saw runs fine, even after all of what I'm doing to/for it.

Any questions feel free to leave a comment.

the rebuild is here:
