Mrs. Alton's family is from Minnesota. In a way they are, collectively, Minnesota. It has always pained me to say that yes, they are, indeed, dyed-in-the-wool liberals. Some have even held political office. They are really wonderful, warm and friendly people. Generous to a fault, kind. I mean really good people...with a political blindspot. Like many of Norse ancestry they are, however, quite good at handling money and financial matters...almost like it's genetic. Seeing what is going on with Trump's tax cuts, America getting productive again, this has their rapt attention AND their support. It's an amazing change because they, liberals that they are/have been, are actually looking, quite closely I might add, at what Trump is actually doing. They are getting all factual and everything. Now, oddly, they find themselves supporting Trump. Honestly, I NEVER thought I would see the day.

Typical Communist idiot. I read this comment and scratched my head. What don't they get? How is Trump breaking the law??

"would support impeachment.. ultimately what we need to focus on is when people potentially break the law ... that no one is above the law,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Potentially Break the Law? No one is above the Law? OK. Let's start with ILLEGAL ALIENS! President Trump has broken NO Laws!

Shooter,
It's all lies. That's all the lib/soc/prog/commie's have & what's even worse (or sadder) is the only hope these imbeciles have is belief in the lies.

He was a fat old rich white guy with privilege. He had to go!
:belly laugh:

.
.
Lets look at that. "fat, old, rich, guy" was replaced with
1. A socialist. Check (met qualifications)
2. Young. Check (going to be there a long time)
3. Woman. Check (anti white men movement)
4. Latina. Check
5. Millineal. Check

So the rigged an election to replace the "fat old rich white guy with privilege" with a young, female, socialist that had in her words "no hope of winning".
This is the left's dream. Can't you see that? They are rebuilding and she will be there for 40+ years.

In a way they are, collectively, Minnesota.
all of that true

they are good people, hard working, damn good people with the best of intentions,

they wrongly believe deep down that it isn't so bad to help another out, etc. Why I state wrong is that they think .gov can do the job and can make this happen. They have a altruistic view of .gov rather than a factual view based on reality.

They voted for Mondale, Wellstone, and Ventura, so they are always willing to step out there, but again with good intentions.

They have a hard time accepting 2 leggers for what they really are.

Seeing similar with my wife's Mom, anyway. Her Dad has dementia and doesn't know what's what. But, they've both been dyed in the wool democrats all their lives. Her Mom sees the way DT is being treated on tv, though and it's making her angry. She has never had a good word for any Republican, before, but even at 95, she sees the unfairness and blinding hypocrisy.

The old time "liberal' has gone the way of the dodo.
Todays "liberal" is a pos communist. Hence my lib/prog/soc/commie description in my posts.

Rut Roh! Not a good week for leftists.

I keep telling you folks it's 20% of the US population are communists and/or mentally ill.
It has always been 20%.

Poll: 72% of Americans Believe Establishment Media Deliberately Report Fake News
742

Jim Cole/AP27 Jun 20181,582

More than two-thirds of Americans, a full 72 percent, believe “traditional news outlets knowingly report false or misleading stories,” according to a Axios/SurveyMonkey poll.

Only 25 percent of Americans believe the media “rarely” or “never” deliberately report fake news.
In other words, only one-quarter of the country believe the media are not guilty of intentionally spreading lies to mislead the American people.
The partisan breakdown is even more revealing…

A full 92 percent of Republicans believe the media intentionally mislead the public. Independents are not far behind, with 79 percent. Even a majority of Democrats, 52 percent, agree, with only 46 percent disagreeing.
And… as if to prove the poll’s point, the Axios report on its own bombshell poll is wildly misleading.
No fair-minded journalist can look at these numbers and not be blown away by the fact that the establishment media have so lost the trust of the American that a breathtaking 72 percent now believe (and for good reason) fake news is reported deliberately.

Seventy-two percent.

Nevertheless, as a means to bury this bombshell of bad news, the left-wing Axios focuses instead on the Republican number of 92 percent, as if to say this is a partisan problem, when there is no question the media have a massive and well-deserved credibility problem all across the board.
The misleading Axios headline reads, “92% of Republicans think media intentionally reports fake news,” which is a deliberate attempt to keep the focus off of the 72 percent.

The top portion of the Axios write up focuses only on the Republican number and summarizes it this way, “The data shows that trust in the media is heavily influenced by partisan politics, with Republicans more skeptical of mainstream media than their Democratic and Independent counterparts.”
Talk about misleading spin. Republicans may be the most skeptical, but we are only talking about a 92/72 percent spread between Republicans and the entire country.

Of those who believe fake news is deliberate, a whopping 65 percent say this is because “people have an agenda.”
Only 30 percent blame the establishment media’s fake news spree on “laziness” or “poor fact-checking.”
Naturally, the far-left Axios attempts to blame President Trump for “exacerbate[ing] the skepticism amongst hardline conservatives with polarizing language (and tweets) about the mainstream media being ‘fake news.'”
“Hardline conservatives?”

Does the mean 72 percent of America is made up of “hardline conservatives?”
Nowhere does Axios mention the countless lies the media have been caught reporting over the last few years.
You see, according to the Politico washouts who created Axios, the media only have a perception problem, not a credibility problem.
Talk about fake news.

Supremes Slap Down “Resistance” and Hands Trump A Monumental Victory and Dems Are Losing It (20 min 09 sec):

Published on Jun 27, 2018 BY Lionel Nation

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of President Trump and his immigration policy across the board in a 5-4 decision on Tuesday, holding that the permanent entry restrictions from various terror-prone nations codified in Presidential Proclamation 9645 is fully consistent with Congress’s Immigration and Nationality Act as well as the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the majority that admission and exclusion of foreign nationals is a “fundamental sovereign attribute exercised by the Government’s political departments largely immune from judicial control,” quoting from an earlier case, and that the president has extraordinarily broad discretion under 8 U.S.C. § 1182(f) to exclude aliens when he believes doing so is in the nation’s interests.

dependent on pov, not a positive for sure

kind of a tea party type wing developing in the dem party that is of south amerikan style, with massive .gov, and all of the policies that go with it.

It really is surreal to me with so many failed examples, there are those still destined to believe this tripe

vene, brazil, argentina, old russia, etc. They say mehico is going full tard in their election also.

The assumption that Hillary would have won the presidency if the Russians didn't interfere is not entirely plausible now. She may not have even won the democratic nomination without cheating Bernie at every angle and buying off everybody.
Could you imagine taking all that money and NOT winning because your head is so far stuck up ur ass you couldn't see it because of the corn? Well she did and to me that is very, very funny.

Sounds like the Dems are severely fractured, could be a positive for pubs in the fall
Don't forget CNNs favorite pub ( former Senator Johny Mclame) is out of commission thank God and Trump has some how converted his buddy Lindsey into his supporter who bitch slapped CNN host last time he was on. So no "bipartisan" criticism like usual. Poor CNN.

If Dems don't take back congress this midterm, dinosaurs like Pelosi, community agitator Maxi will be shot out the door and 2020 will be a millennial Dem remake with the fake news cheerleaders leading the way versus evil old man Trump.

Seems like the pubs that have always been afraid to be labeled by the media as the mean bad people so they never put a counter fight and always caved. This time around, thanks to unafraid Trump, the Dems own the "mean" label with examples galore. The "border" kids ploy isn't selling and in fact Maxi stepped in it again and redirected any hope of the staged rallies having any negative effect on the publics view of Trump. Limbo stated last week that Trump is more popular among pubs then Reagan ever was, something like 90% positive. This is even with with Mueller witch hunt going on. Pubs are fighting to have Trump endorse him.

one of my concerns was how the dems were always on offense, always declaring the battle lines and controlling the narrative while conservatives sat on their hands.

Ron Paul was also guilty of not understanding this, always taking the high road, always on defense trying to defend a position and so on. He was a doctor with morals and a decorum in public against a street fighter who would use anything and everything. They would lie cheat and rob you blind. Walking into a gun fight with a butter knife.

Finally there is someone that understands you have to get down in the gutter to do battle with these losers. And now look at them. Yelling and screaming so much they don't even know who they are mad at anymore, biting each others devils tails.

Sadly the dems are predicted to take control of the US political system just as they have done in NY and CA. A conservative SCOTUS is the last line of hope for America to survive.

I always said you only score points on offense. Take the best team no matter what game / sport & if all you do is play defense you will never SCORE a point. It's that simple. That's the job of the supremes to DEFEND the CONSTITUTION not alter it.

Trump is wining on manny issues so quickly the Progs are having trouble keeping up with what they are mad about
