PRAY FOR CANADA!!
Luxembourg and France (and other countries, including the UK?) are under similar enforced curfews.

In France, depending on the region (number of Covid cases) you can't leave home between 6pm or 8pm until 6am the next morning unless you have a special pass with the correct box marked.
Medical personnel or emergency
Not much else.
Tyranny.

I got lucky on January 2nd driving back from Sweden. Empty freeways, 95 mph through Germany with my fully loaded camper with the scooter on the carrier.
No border controls anywhere! Didn't get pulled over. Stopped after 800 miles at 3 am at the gas station in Luxembourg to buy my 1/4 price tobacco and found out that they had a curfew, so slept in the van until legal hour of 6am.
Stuck to the expensive toll roads for the remaining 700 miles home in France to "beat the clock".

Secretary of State Michael Pompeo on Censorship: Time to ‘Put Wokeism to Sleep’

Secretary of State Michael Pompeo on Monday criticized censorship by media and Big Tech, calling for “wokeism” to be put to sleep, during a speech he gave at a Voice of America-hosted event.

In his opening remarks, Pompeo noted that some employees of VOA, a U.S. government-funded international news service, did not want him to speak at the event and called that “censorial instinct” dangerous.

“I read that some VOA employees didn’t want me to speak here today. I’m sure it was only a handful. They didn’t want the voice of American diplomacy to be broadcast on the Voice of America. Think about that for just a moment,” he said.

“This kind of censorial instinct is dangerous. It’s morally wrong. Indeed, it’s against your statutory mandate here at VOA. Censorship, wokeness, political correctness. It all points in one direction — authoritarianism cloaked as moral righteousness,” he said.

He then compared it to censorship by Big Tech.

“Similar to what we’re seeing at Twitter and Facebook and Apple and on too many university campuses today. It’s not who we are. It’s not who we are as Americans. And it’s not what the Voice of America should be. It’s time that we simply put woke-ism to sleep,” he said.

Although Pompeo did not explicitly mention it, on Friday Twitter and Facebook moved to permanently ban President Donald Trump from using their platforms. Then, on Saturday, Apple dropped Parler from its store and Amazon dropped Parler from using its hosting service.

Pompeo has defended the president and the administration, while some Trump administration officials have resigned or criticized the president after some of his supporters broke into the Capitol building and engaged in violence.

Democrats and some Republicans are accusing the president of inciting violence at the Capitol and are calling for his resignation, his impeachment, or for his cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment.

Facebook has confirmed it has a data-sharing partnership with Chinese firms including Huawei, a company US intelligence previously flagged as a security threat.

The agreements gave the Chinese firms some access to users' data to help them build Facebook "experiences" on their smartphones.
Facebook said all the data collected remained on users' phones not servers.
Huawei said its cooperation with Facebook was to improve user services.
A Huawei spokesperson said: "Like all leading smartphone providers, Huawei has worked with Facebook to make Facebook's services more convenient for users. Huawei has never collected or stored any Facebook user data."
Facebook is already under scrutiny over how it uses members' information.
It has been blocked in China since 2009 but the company has been trying to find other ways to access the massive potential market.

And now WhatsApp - belonging to FaceBook, is requesting to "agree to their new terms of service" (which will most likely take all of your personal data from your phone...)

https://www.realclearinvestigations.com/articles/2021/01/25/new_evidence_ties_fbi_higher-ups_to_dishonesty_of_anti-trump_lawyer_126807.html

"The little-noticed documents, which include never-before-seen exhibits, were submitted by Special Counsel John Durham and lawyers for Page, who has been granted time to address the court as a victim when it sentences Clinesmith Jan. 29 as part of a plea agreement. Page and his attorneys argue that the FBI obtained his electronic communications, both written and oral, based on fraudulent warrants in violation of his Fourth Amendment rights. He is suing Clinesmith and the FBI for $75 million in damages."

"Since last summer, when Clinesmith pleaded guilty, Durham has narrowed his investigation to focus on the activities of the so-called Crossfire Hurricane team, which included top FBI officials who worked closely with Clinesmith on the Page wiretaps, and on whether the FBI launched the entire investigation of the Trump campaign without legal predication, according to former Attorney General William Barr. As part of his plea deal, Clinesmith agreed to “be personally debriefed” about "FISA matters and any information he possesses.”"

Regarding Durham:

Does he just keep on going like the Energizer Bunny, or do joeandho46admin cut him off at the knees?

How does that Special Counsel gig work?

If your party controls the house and senate, you don't have to worry one bit because nobody is going to impeach you for interfering with the Special Counsel.
