This is actually pretty easy to check.

Not sure what year in the '60's you are referring to, (not sure who J. Smith is either) but if we use 1965 as a starting point, $100 invested in silver

Silver bug and you don't know who Jerome Smith is? Dow top 1966 was 1000. You could have bought Silver for around a buck. Do the math.

There will be a time to buy and hold metals but it doesn't mean you buy and hold just metals always and forever.

Check my full post. You only got part of it. I had a device error mid-post.
....and silver was a buck 30 in '66.

Buy low sell high, right?
....and aren't you saying it's low now? If so, now would be the time to buy, wouldn't it? I mean, you wouldn't want to wait until it actually does go up, right?
.....and btw, in my other post I was agreeing with you. Lol

Looks like we hit the floor again with $1750 Au and $22 Ag (I thought we had already hit the bottom a few months back at $1800 and $25 respectively).

Thus, the PMs are at bargain basement prices for those wishing to acquire.

Is today's gains for PM's a bouncing cat thrown down the stairs?

I added some silver on the dip. I'm really liking the 9 Fine Mint bars. The chunky 5s and 10s are perfect for tossing and they have a troy pound bar which you don't see too often. The 2-oz poured blob is a good pocket piece. They are good for fondling, throwing at attackers or skipping across the lake.

If you are like me, Yes.
If you are positive thinking optimist, to-day is the time to acquire a truck-load of coin.

I'm pretty sure most of the folks that see the future coming are busy raking sand on the island they bought with the killing they made in the futures market.:inspector:
