Cuomo’s New York: Inmate Arrested for Rape Days After Release from Jail

An accused rapist released from Riker’s Island in New York due to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic was arrested for allegedly raping a woman in Brooklyn days later.

Robert Pondexter, 57-years-old, had been detained in jail on rape charges when he was released due the coronavirus pandemic. Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) had ordered state prisons to release thousands of inmates to comply with social distancing guidelines.

According to the New York Post, Pondexter was walking on a sidewalk when he allegedly forced a 58-year-old woman into a school parking lot. Pondexter, according to law enforcement, allegedly made the woman perform oral sex on him, choked her, and attempted to rape her.

The woman was eventually able to kick Pondexter off of her. The attack occurred just 10 days after Pondexter had been released from Riker’s Island under Cuomo’s directives.

Now, Pondexter has been charged with rape, sexual abuse, and criminal possession of crack cocaine.

The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office told News 12 that Pondexter’s “parole hold was lifted and he was released after it was revealed in court that his case was going to be dismissed because the victims were not cooperative,” explaining his release from Riker’s Island 10 days before the alleged rape.

As of April 20, New York City had released more than 1,500 inmates from prisons due to the coronavirus even as some crime, such as car theft, has skyrocketed in the midst of Cuomo’s statewide stay-at-home orders.

I see that the rapists and robbers are being released, are they also releasing the pot smoking 'criminals' too? It seems the states are looking to cause maximum damage and disruption then blaming it all on a hoax. How many criminals are these governors going to release into society before the people start marching on the statehouse with pitchforks and torches?

De Blasio appoints wife head of coronavirus racial inequality task force

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Sunday that he has put First Lady Chirlane McCray in charge of a special coronavirus task force — insisting her work with her embattled ThriveNYC initiative made her perfect for the new job. McCray will work with Deputy Mayor Phil Thompson in leading a task force on racial inclusion and equity to make sure the Big Apple rebounds as a “better and more just society than the one we left behind,” Hizzoner said.

The mayor insisted that the First Lady deserved her place at the head of the new initiative because of the ideas she generated — defying critics and praising her work with her $250 million-a-year mental health plan. “In terms of fighting inequality, Thrive has gone to that point and in many ways even farther,” he insisted, praising his wife’s work in “putting a light” to serious issues, making her an obvious choice for the new role. “I think that’s exactly the kind of mindset needed for this task force,” he insisted of his 65-year-old wife.

Critics have charged that McCray’s ThriveNYC program is both ineffective and ripe for abuse as a political cudgel. The racial inequality task force, meanwhile, was one of a series of working groups being set up to help prepare the Big Apple to reopen after the lockdown, the Mayor announced, saying they will start meeting “in a matter of days.” The crisis has highlighted the “many things that are broken in our city and in our country,” Hizzoner insisted at Sunday’s press briefing, calling it a “clarion call” for change. “We don’t just need a recovery, we need a transformation,” he said. It was not immediately clear whether the task force would be given a budget — or whether McCray would draw a salary.

The city’s black and Latin communities are particularly hard-hit by the coronavirus pandemic, statistics released by City Hall show. He also insisted that the city would not rush to reopen, saying he was “worried” for other states moving too quickly. As well as “running a risk is endangering their own people,” they also risked it “backfiring” and having prolonged lockdowns once the contagion reasserts itself, he said. “We won’t let that happen here,” he stressed, refusing to be drawn on an exact timescale of the lockdown getting lifted. “There is in my mind also no question that New York City will come back strong — stronger than ever. This is what New York City does this is who we are,” he insisted.

No different than the nepotism Trump shows appointing his son in law as a senior advisor. That's become the norm in politics now

A different era.

I remember the early years. Chevy Chase and the NRFPTPs. They were funny.

They're all gone. Chevy Chase is now in his 70s, fat and retired - and has become, basically, a NPC. Brain rot from forty years of liberalism-exposure.

Same with the rest. SNL, remember, is produced by NBC - THE...WORST of the Woke networks and a steady purveyor of Fake Nooze.

If her allegations were true it would be attacking 15-40 year olds.
In Ohio the ratio is 75% white, 17% black.
Just more leftist/satanic lies.

How do morons like that get a professor position? You would think critical thinking would be a prerequisite.
Fat black educators don't seem to offer much in real value these days, much like fat black politicians and all politicians in general of every color in all 56 genders!

It has nothing to do with what they know, it's their allegiance to indoctrinating their imbecile "students" to lies, lies & damned lies otherwise known as the prog/soc/comm agenda.

“No whites allowed” safe space for employees of Oregon county

Do you know what’s been missing from the government’s response to coronavirus?

You might think-- ‘more testing kits’, or ‘honest information’.

Nope. According to at least one county in the US state of Oregon, the biggest issue right now is establishing “safe spaces” where no white people are allowed.

This is how Multnomah County, Oregon is rewarding its employees who are working during the pandemic: the county government announced that one of their departments will host "a grounding space for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) employees to share, heal, connect, and get grounded in a space that is not dominated by whiteness."

The safe-space was announced in a daily report to county employees fighting coronavirus.

When asked, a county spokesperson assured the public that it is perfectly legal to discriminate against their white employees.

She explained, “The space excludes no one. It is based on shared lived experience not identity. The same way our employee resource groups for veterans, parents, and people with a disability are based on life experience and not identity. All are welcome here.”

Except white people.

Try to wrap your mind around that double-speak.

That's exactly how you respond to this crap. White safe spaces. Use the same criteria, the same language then learn from them when they fight back against whitey. Use their own idiocy against them. The good news is if they don't fight back then we don't have to deal wit dem!

Let's be "politically correct" and set up "safe places" for the "melatonin-deficient minority" (i.e. Whites), haha!!!

We could always try to get at the source of all these problems.

Let's get a Constitutional Amendment to end "African-American Sufferage."

I bet it passes the House so fast your head would be spinning. On to the States; and then it's DONE.

No more "Sufferage" for these Noble Non-Whites. Ease their pain, on Election Day...

That would make for a marvelous Mark Dice "on the street petition"... "African-Americans have been oppressed for so long, with such suffering, so will you please sign this petition to "Ban African-American Suffrage"?" - I bet that 8/10 "interviewees" would sign it...

Mommy may I? Go to link & read the comments! Priceless!

https://www.dailywire.com/news/cali...ies-allowed-during-shutdown-theyre-ridiculous

On Thursday, California’s Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom released a list of outdoor activities citizens are “allowed” to participate in during the statewide shutdown.

“We want you to see sunsets,” said Newsom, as reported by
SF Gate. “We want you to enjoy activities outdoors. What they don’t want is people congregating outside in large groups.”

The list included a wide variety of activities, some of which raised more than a few eyebrows on social media for either being so specific or painstakingly obvious, such as the suggestion for people to avoid gardening in groups or giving permission for people to wash the car.

The list in full:

— Athletics
— Badminton (singles)
— Throwing a baseball or softball
— BMX biking
— Canoeing (singles)
— Crabbing
— Cycling
— Exploring rock pools
— Gardening (not in groups)
— Golf (singles, walking – no cart)
— Hiking (on trails and paths allowing distancing)
— Horseback riding (singles)
— Jogging and running
— Kite boarding and kitesurfing
— Meditation
— Outdoor photography
— Picnics (with your stay-home household members only)
— Quad Biking
— Rock Climbing
— Roller Skating and Roller Blading
— Rowing (singles)
— Scootering (not in groups)
— Skateboarding (not in groups)
— Soft martial arts – Tai Chi, Chi Kung (not in groups)
— Table tennis (singles)
— Throw and catch an American mini football, Frisbee or Frisbee golf (not in groups)
— Trail running
— Trampolining
— Tree climbing
— Volleyball (singles)
— Walk the dog
— Wash the car
— Watch the sunrise or sunset
— Yoga

People on social media mercilessly trolled the list for going to the excessive lengths that it did.

“Good news, California! We’re allowed to watch sunsets!” tweeted GOP congressional candidate Buzz Patterson.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom encouraged residents to go outdoors during the shelter-in-place order as long as they follow social distancing guidelines.

“A list of restricted activities was necessary. A list of permitted activities is chilling,” tweeted California legislator Kevin Kiley.

“Big Daddy #thugboy decided to ease your restriction. Be good little boys and girls and they and them. Follow the rules or else [Gavin Newsom] is going to put you in time out, with misdemeanor, possible fine, possible jail time,” tweeted congressional candidate Erin Cruz.

“Meanwhile, in CA, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the activities we peasants are allowed during the lockdown,” tweeted one frustrated user. “I’ll see you at the State Capitol protest tomorrow while the governor sits atop his throne and whittles away at this list of allowable activities.”

As reported by The Daily Wire’s Eric Quintanar, earlier this week, cities in Orange County sued the governor for ordering a statewide beach closure against the authority of local municipalities who voted to keep the beaches open. Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes said that law enforcement will not take a heavy-handed approach toward citizens in violation of the order.

“To date, we have not had to take any enforcement action on any components of the governor’s order,” said the sheriff.

New York paid $69 million for ventilators that never showed up

New York State paid a Silicon Valley electrical engineer more than $69 million for a ventilators that never arrived, according to a report on Wednesday.

Yaron Oren-Pines on March 30 pocketed $69.1 million for 1,450 ventilators — a jaw-dropping $47,656 per ventilator — at least triple the standard retail price of high-end models, Buzzfeed News reported.

The Empire State terminated the contract about a month later and is now trying to claw back the cash, the report said.

A “bulk of the money was returned to the state,” said Heather Groll, a spokesperson for the New York Office of General Services, without specifying how much.

“We are in discussions on a few remaining issues,” Groll added.

It was the single-largest payment the Dept. of Health made under Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s March 7 executive order aimed at streamlining the process for obtaining desperately needed medical supplies.

New York’s coronavirus-related contracts are vetted by a team which mainly considers whether potential vendors would fulfill their promises, Rich Azzopardi, senior adviser to Cuomo, told the outlet.

It’s unclear precisely how Oren-Pines was vetted. He is a specialist in mobile phone technology, with no apparent experience in government contracting or medical devices, Buzzfeed found.

He was one of thousands of people who, on March 27, replied to a tweet from President Trump urging Ford and General Motors to “START MAKING VENTILATORS, NOW!”

“We can supply ICU Ventilators, invasive and noninvasive. Have someone call me URGENT,” Oren-Pines had responded.

An unnamed state official told Buzzfeed that he came recommended by the White House coronavirus task force. The White House and the office of Vice President Mike Pence didn’t comment.

Reached by Buzzfeed, Oren-Pines said: “Neither me nor my company is providing any comment on this.” He couldn’t be reached by The Post on Wednesday evening.

The governor’s office didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

NY didn't need them anyway. They had thousands stockpiled in warehouses so they could beg for more money. I could never feel bad for NY, NYC or urban liberal New Yorkers in general

As a landlord myself for over25 years, I've never encountered a "tenant" that I would "poke" - especially in exchange for "rent", lol !!! (Imho, the "legislators" watch too many porn video plots touting "sex for rent"...)

But here goes some taxpayer money "to good use" (sarcasm). And to imagine that every adult & child is getting a government check TO PAY THEIR BILLS... Really?

On top of that - Vt has FORBIDDEN landlords from evicting non-paying tenants during this so-called "emergency", so why the "sexual harassment allegations" (with NO STATED CASES so far)???

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) U.S. Attorney for Vermont is working to protect residents from sexual harassment during the coronavirus.

Christina Nolan will investigate landlords who are trying to sexually exploit their tenants during the pandemic.

This comes as many people who are struggling to ends meet and can't afford to pay rent.

The goal is to combat sexual harassment by landlords, property managers, maintenance workers, loan officers, or other people who have control over housing.

The department is encouraging anyone who has experienced sexual harassment to file a complaint.
