Twitter appears to have removed its blue “verified” checkmark from a number of users on the platform over the past few days, a purge that included Rudy Takala, a journalist for Mediaite who reported on former President Obama’s abuse of government surveillance powers.
Takala reported that Twitter removed his “verified status” an hour after he tweeted out his column about the Obama spying allegations.
“I tweeted this column about the Obama administration spying on journalists at 5:47 Thursday,” said Takala. “Around an hour later, my verification badge magically disappeared.”
The Mediaite column was a report on recent statements made by investigative journalist Sharyl Atkisson. Atkisson, formerly of CBS, alleges that her computer was spied upon by the Obama justice department in 2013 and 2014. She has been fighting a long-running legal battle with the Justice Department over the allegations, and recently moved to reopen the recently-dismissed case after a whistleblower provided new information, implicating Rod Rosenstein.
It seems that other users on Twitter have also been deverified in recent days. Podcast host Josh Lekach reported that he lost his verified badge shortly after posting an interview with Republican congressional candidate Laura Loomer, who is running in the GOP primary for FL-21.
Loomer has filed lawsuits against Twitter as well as other major tech companies over politically biased censorship.
“I interviewed Laura Loomer yesterday, and today my Twitter verification badge is gone,” said Lekach.
Conservative app developer Doriano Carta, previously a writer for Mashable and GigaOm, reported that his verified badge had also disappeared.
It is unclear how many others have been deverified, or why. Twitter has yet to release any public statements on the matter, and has yet to respond to Breitbart News’ request for comment. I was thinking about what a feat it was for North Korea to brainwash their entire population, then I realized it pales in comparison to what has happened in America, an open and educated and free population, totally brainwashed, right before our eyes. More than half our citizens believe exactly what their T.V.s tell them to believe.
They don't teach in schools, they indoctrinate. It seems like Twitter either doesn't know that mediaite is an alt-far-left-communist-democrat site, or they don't care since Obama must be protected at all costs. Typical leftist behavior. And despite calling Trump a dictator it is the 24 blue state dictators who took your job and locked you up. Now they want to keep you there and decide everything for you, while red state leaders affirm your right to decide for yourself. Jeanine Pirro used her opening statement to detail that and it is powerful. The video is at Whatfinger News at the top of the page in the crawler (and also 'Top Fox Vids' near the top under the blue bar in the middle), so check it out. When we can't buy seeds but we can buy lotto and booze then we have a problem. It is possible to live without social(ist) media. All sites have a hidden 'delete' option (default is always 'disable'). I deleted all my posts and pictures first, then deleted accounts, then didn't ever log back in.
Seems these last few days, Twatter is overestimating its own credibility - and is betting that the "journalists" who get warned by getting their Blue Checks removed, will get with the program and stick to the Party Line.
Some will. Many will not; and those of us watching, now knows that the magic Blue Check means only that Twitter management approves of the propaganda contained within.
Wikipedia Co-Founder: Site’s Neutrality Is ‘Dead’ Thanks to Leftist Bias
Larry Sanger, the co-founder of Wikipedia, published a blog post this month declaring that the online encyclopedia’s “neutral point of view” policy is “dead” due to the rampant left-wing bias of the site. Noting the article on President Donald Trump, Sanger contrasted its extensive coverage of presidential scandals with the largely scandal-free article on former President Barack Obama. Sanger also criticized Wikipedia’s coverage of religion and other controversial topics. After Fox News reported on his blog post, many Wikipedians ignored the bias Sanger identified and instead responded by attacking the conservative outlet as well as Sanger. On May 14, Sanger published a blog piece titled “Wikipedia Is Badly Biased” and started by declaring Wikipedia’s “Neutral Point of View” policy dead. Having founded the online encyclopedia with Jimmy Wales and having been involved in the original drafting of the policy, Sanger offered particular insight into its development and its practice in recent years. On the current policy’s rejection of providing “equal validity” to different views, Sanger stated this went directly against the original policy’s intent and that “as journalists turn to opinion and activism, Wikipedia now touts controversial points of view on politics, religion, and science.”
Providing examples, Sanger noted former President Obama’s article excludes most notable scandals during his Administration, such as the bungled ATF Fast and Furious operation that armed Mexican cartels who killed a U.S. border agent or the targeting of Tea Party groups by the IRS. By contrast, Sanger pointed to Trump’s article containing overwhelmingly negative sections on the President regarding his “public profile” as well as investigations and impeachment. The sections critical of Trump and his presidency are nearly as long as those dealing with his presidency overall. He further criticized Wikipedia repeatedly saying Trump makes false statements rather than attributing such characterizations to sources. Wikipedia’s coverage of other contentious political topics such as abortion were also criticized with Sanger singling out Wikipedia claiming abortion is “one of the safest procedures in medicine.” He pointed out how articles on legalization of drugs and gay adoption were focused on positives with little to no mention of criticisms. In the latter case, Sanger noted the section on “debate” about gay adoption only included arguments in favor rather than any against it. Sanger also criticized Wikipedia’s coverage of religion describing the article on Jesus as “a ‘liberal’ academic discussion” focused “on assorted difficulties and controversies” without explaining “traditional or orthodox views of those issues.”
Further criticism was directed at Wikipedia’s handling of scientific issues, where Sanger acknowledged some would consider a “bias towards science” to be desirable. However, he noted that it is not always clear what constitutes a legitimate scientific view and Wikipeda tends to “take for granted” and “aggressively assert” the views of the scientific establishment despite scientific minorities rejecting or criticizing these views such as on global warming. In the end, Sanger called on Wikipedia’s community to concede that they have abandoned neutrality, while stating this was unlikely as Wikipedia editors “live in a fantasy world of their own making.”

Department of Education: Transgender Athletes’ Competition Violates Women’s Rights
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut policy that allows transgender athletes to compete as girls in high school sports violates the civil rights of athletes who have always identified as female, according to a letter from the U.S. Education Department’s civil rights office that was obtained Thursday by The Associated Press.
The letter came in response to a complaint filed last year by several cisgender female track athletes who argued that two transgender female runners had an unfair physical advantage.
The office said in the 45-page letter that it may seek to withhold federal funding over the policy, which allows athletes to participate under the gender with which they identify. The policy is a violation of Title IX, the federal civil rights law that guarantees equal education opportunities for women, including in athletics, the office said.
It has “denied female student-athletes athletic benefits and opportunities, including advancing to the finals in events, higher level competitions, awards, medals, recognition, and the possibility of greater visibility to colleges and other benefits,” according to the letter, which is dated May 15.
The Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference has said its policy is designed to comply with a state law barring schools from discriminating against transgender students. The conference did not immediately return a call seeking comment Thursday.
Attorneys for the Alliance Defending Freedom, who represent the girls who brought the complaint, said they would comment later Thursday.
The decision by the civil rights office names the conference, along with the school districts for which the transgender runners and those filing the complaint competed — Glastonbury, Bloomfield, Hartford, Cromwell, Canton and Danbury.
The office said it will “either initiate administrative proceedings to suspend, terminate, or refuse to grant or continue and defer financial assistance” to the conference and those districts or refer the cases to the U.S. Department of Justice.
In its letter, the civil rights office said it notified the CIAC and the school districts of its pending decision in February, but that subsequent negotiations failed to result in an agreement over the policy.
“All that today’s finding represents is yet another attack from the Trump administration on transgender students,” said Chase Strangio, deputy director of the funding initiative Trans Justice.
“Trans students belong in our schools, including on sports teams, and we aren’t backing down from this fight,” Strangio said.
“Bet you stay home now you hypokrits [sic]," read the misspelled graffiti outside of a burnt down church in Mississippi.
That graffiti, of course, is suspected to have come from the unidentified arsonist. The motive: the church ignored the city’s lockdown rules, and continued holding services.
This same church sued the city of Holly Springs over the lockdowns after being cited for holding mass despite city restrictions on how many people could gather, and non-essential businesses.
The lawsuit cites religious freedom guaranteed under the First Amendment, and claims the congregation only held services inside when weather prevented outdoors services. And even then, proper social distancing methods were followed.
But it seems the arsonist took the mainstream media bait. The prevailing attitude is that you're hurting others by going about your normal life, and not cowering in fear inside your home.
This arson is not front page news because it doesn’t support the mainstream narrative.
It wasn’t the armed protesters who became violent. It was some Quarantine-Karen who thinks your freedom is more dangerous than arson.
A resolution introduced by Kamila Harris in the US Senate condemns “the increased use of anti-Asian rhetoric” which “has resulted in Asian Americans being harassed, assaulted, and scapegoated for the COVID–19 pandemic.”
The resolution claims that “the use of anti-Asian terminology and rhetoric related to COVID–19, such as the ‘‘Chinese Virus’’, ‘‘Wuhan Virus’’, and ‘‘Kung-flu’’, have perpetuated anti-Asian stigma.”
According to the resolution, words like these have allegedly (and only anecdotally) led to an increase in hate crimes against Asian Americans.
The resolution doesn’t actually do anything, except call on public officials to condemn the anti-Asian rhetoric.
It also encourages law enforcement to investigate actual crimes against Asians, which hopefully they were already doing, since that’s their job.
The resolution demands law enforcement compile statistics about anti-Asian bias, starting at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
Surely next the Senate will introduce resolutions condemning anti-religious rhetoric related to the coronavirus lockdowns.
You wouldn’t want people to, say, burn a church to the ground because of the media/ political hysteria.
A private Jewish school in New York City shut down with the rest of the city to slow the spread of coronavirus.
But a couple weeks to slow the spread turned into a couple months with life on hold.
Eventually, students returned to the school, without the permission of NYC.
But later the same day, the school was promptly shut down.
Neighbors called the police to report dozens of teenage students gathering on the premises. Some were not even wearing masks-- the horror.
This is one of the latest confrontations between NYC officials punishing Orthodox and Hasidic Jews for flouting the lockdown rules, and continuing to exercise their First Amendment rights to practice religion, and peaceably assemble.
Somehow, turning in your Jewish neighbors for violating arbitrary laws sounds eerily familiar…

The Golden State is showing its brass with more unemployed people than the entire population of Alabama. So, California’s leaders decided that this was an urgent time to bail out illegal aliens.
California’s illegal alien population is its shadow economy and with many of the industries that employ them shut down, the Democrats who depend on ghost districts populated by illegals decided that something had to be urgently done to keep the illegal aliens from fleeing back across the border.
The Democrats figured that giving them checks would be cheaper than building a wall to keep them in.
But who knew that a $125 million stimulus program for illegal aliens would become such a disaster?
Illegal aliens were eligible to apply for up to $1,000 with $75 million coming from the California taxpayers bailing out illegals who don't pay taxes. And another $50 million was supposed to be donated by wealthy lefties. But while the taxpayers of the state were forced to put up their $75 million, the wealthy politically correct elites who have poured fortunes into electing Democrats didn’t pay up.
Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees had the backing of billionaires like Steve Jobs' widow, Mark Zuckerberg, and George Soros, but has stalled at $38 million. And that's from guys like Zuckerberg and Soros who use million-dollar bills as toilet paper. But why bother donating to illegals, when you can buy the politicians, and they'll steal money from the middle class to fund your agenda?
The Resilience Fund was supposed to raise an initial $50 million. It’s struggling to get there which means its partner organizations like the California Nail Salon Community Care Fund, the TransLatin Coalition, the Jakara Movement for Sikh illegal aliens, and the Black LGBTQ+ Migrant Project might be out of luck.
But the real train wreck was, as always, on the government side where Governor Newsom had decided to anonymously give away cash to illegals, first-come, first-served. What could possibly go wrong?
The Disaster Relief Assistance for Immigrants (DRAI) program was built to self-destruct from the start.
Since the sanctuary state would rather let a million Kate Steinles be murdered than deport one illegal, not even California authorities would be allowed to know whom they were giving away the money to.
Instead of illegal aliens having to file paperwork or show up at an office and present their undocumented passports, the giveaway was run through non-profits that help illegal aliens. Like a radio station contest, the illegal aliens had to call it to one of twelve non-profits to walk away with a grand.
The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles claimed that it got 630,000 calls in the first 90 minutes and over 1.1 million calls on the first day. Pew estimates that Los Angeles has around 1 million illegals. What are the odds that all of them would have phoned up one of the non-profits in one day?
The Pew estimate that there are only 2 million illegals in California has always been nonsense, but even so numbers like these are so fishy that they could be served fresh at your local seafood restaurant.
Even at the minimum number of $500, 1 million applicants would require a $500 million fund.
And that’s just the calls coming it to one of the non-profits.
The TODEC Legal Center claimed that it was hammered with 1 million calls in the first 48 hours. Bay Area Catholic Charities told the media that it's been getting 200,000 calls a day.
Since illegal aliens are only supposed to apply to the contractors serving their geographic area, that means that there are either a whole lot of illegal aliens in California or a whole lot of scammers.
The volume of calls quickly overwhelmed the pro-illegal organizations which processed only 6,500 illegal claims. Only California Democrats can figure out how to outsource a giveaway and make it even worse as other pro-illegal alien groups began complaining to Governor Newsom that “undocumented Californians face unreasonable barriers in accessing these much-needed resources."
Even though California can’t figure out how to give away the money to illegal aliens, Democrats are demanding even more giveaways with legislators calling for $3,200 in payouts per illegal alien.
With claims that there are 289,000 illegal aliens who are no longer able to work illegally in California, that could run to $9 billion in payouts to illegal aliens. Meanwhile, Governor Newsom is warning that unless his government gets a massive federal bailout, cops and firefighters will lose their jobs.
Maybe the illegal aliens can work as California’s cops and firefighters for less than minimum wage.
But, as the 1.1 million phone calls show, the sky is literally the limit.
California's illegal alien stimulus routes everything through its dozen Immigration Services Financing contractors who only provide general demographic information to the state. The contractors begin the process by phone and then ask applicants to email them evidence that they’re eligible for the program.
The potential for fraud is as vast as the cash flow is limited.
Meanwhile, CBS Los Angeles interviewed a woman who told the reporter in Spanish. “Right now, we live in a place that is not our country. Our house is in a different country, and we have expenses we have to pay like rent and for food.” It seems like the solution would be for her to go back to her own country.
You don’t need to ask California taxpayers to cover LA rents when you have a house in Guatemala.
Illegal aliens are living in a place that is not their country. There’s no reason for them to be here, let alone be bailed out by California taxpayers, when 5 million Californians are unemployed.
But California's bad ideas have a way of quickly sweeping the nation. From foods to dances to drugs, once Californians do it, every other idiot blue state decides it must be a good idea.
The Seattle City Council, under Council President M. Lorena Gonzalez, passed a unanimous resolution calling for a fund of over $100 million for “undocumented Washingtonians".
And they're not talking about Rep. Ilhan Omar.
Gonzalez’s parents were illegal aliens. The La Raza vet got her start in politics as the legal counsel to Mayor Ed Murray, who was forced to step down after multiple allegations of abusing children that had been covered up by the Democrat establishment. That’s the sort of thing they used to do in Portland.
Like its California cousin, Seattle’s illegal alien giveaway would also be run by “community-based organizations” which is just slang for Democrat organizations that help get out the Democrat vote.
Seattle Democrats claim that they need to bail out the state’s 250,000 illegal aliens. Pew estimates place 140,000 illegal aliens in the Seattle metropolitan area. The entire state is on the hook for Seattle.
The idea of a massive illegal alien bailout is spreading across blue state and areas. Maryland's 250,000 illegal aliens want their own stimulus plan. Pro-illegal alien activists in Phoenix held a rally demanding money for illegals. Two dozen Connecticut legislators have written a letter calling for a bailout for the state's 100,000 illegals. Massachusetts Democrats also desperately want to bail out their illegals.
And California has taken its illegal alien bailout national with Speaker Pelosi’s HEROES Act offering stimulus cash for illegal aliens at a time when 30 million Americans are out of work.
Pelosi might have learned the lesson from her own state’s illegal alien bailout disaster.
Handing out cash to criminals never ends well. That’s why so many members of her own party are in jail.
The rogue Republican representative from District 30 has been asked by his own political party to not run as a Republican.
Rep. Gary Knopp helped lead a coup against fellow Republicans, installing a House speaker who is a lifelong Democrat and giving control to the Democrat minority. He was not alone — Republicans Reps. Louise Stutes, Jennifer Johnston, Chuck Kopp, Bart LeBon, and Gabrielle LeDoux joined him in overthrowing House Republicans to create a bipartisan caucus that has been in “resistance” mode since it took power 18 months ago.
In a letter signed by District 30 Republican Chairman Thomas R. Daly, the district wrote “Since your election the team is disappointed in your performance and no longer supports your candidacy. The representation provided is not what our team voted to receive. This dissatisfaction has been communicated and formalized by the censure vote of both District 30 and the SCC (State Central Committee of the Alaska Republican Party).”
The letter asks Knopp to withdraw from the primary as a Republican candidate.
Knopp has a well-known name, and there are two candidates running against him that will split the primary vote: Candidates Ron Gillham and Kelly Wolfe make it highly likely that Knopp could win the primary again, in spite of dissatisfaction of as many as two-thirds of the voters. He has been the focus of a recall attempt that never got enough signatures to make it to the ballot and although Kenai is a politically conservative stronghold, turnout could be light this August, as people disengage from public activity. That voter disengagement favors incumbents.
In another hilarious moment of instant karma from the riots, some idiot who was trying to burn down a historic building, but lit himself on fire instead.
The man was attempting to set the building ablaze as fire alarms rang out, but it blew back in his face. Literally.
Other rioters jumped in to attempt to help put it out as one man repeatedly shouted “oh sh-t.”
The video appears to be from the Market House, which was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1973. Protesters also burned the US flag outside.
Local station WRAL reports that “protesters set a fire in the Market House in Fayetteville on Saturday evening. Hours later, they have begun adding fuel to the flames, as well as wooden pallets, attempting to encourage a larger fire.”
The Market House was built in 1832 and was home to the state legislator from 1788 through 1793 and was used as a market to sell slaves. It currently had a museum on the second floor.
Violence, looting, rioting and arson has been plaguing the city of Fayetteville for days, like many cities across the nation. The riots began over the death of a black man who was in Minneapolis Police custody on Monday.
Police vehicles have also been smashed and destroyed. Several other buildings were also lit on fire, including a CVS Pharmacy.
“Almost every window down on Fayetteville Street is broken,” said WRAL reporter Keely Arthur.
The Fayetteville rioters also broke into Cross Creek Mall, Walmart, Dollar General and multiple other places to loot. Rioters were seen loading large flat screen televisions into their cars without arrests.
Downtown Fayetteville has now been closed to all citizens.
“I am in continuing contact with Emergency Management leaders about violence occurring in some of our cities. Frustrating that planned peaceful protests about real systemic racism are marred. I am grateful for those seeking justice peacefully,” Governor Roy Cooper tweeted.
Fayetteville Mayor Mitch Colin joined early in the day while the “protest” was peaceful.
Since the riots began there have been countless arson, hundreds – if not thousands – of businesses destroyed through vandalism and looting, kidnappings, and even murders. Much of the violence is taking place in states with Democrat leadership, who have told police to stand down and let the mayhem continue.
There have been several instances of this instant karma, however, and the District Herald has been attempting to keep up with them.
In Los Angeles, rioters rolled over one of their own extremists with a dumpster while attempting to break down a police barricade.
In Dallas, a looter who was attempting to flee a building ran straight into a glass door.
Not all karma comes naturally though, and in some cases the police have helped it along a bit, like this NYPD officer who smacked a member of Antifa with his car door as he drove by.
A private security guard grabbed a rifle from a man at a protest on a Seattle street in a show of heroism that potentially averted disaster and saved lives.
Live video during a Saturday news report on KOMO-TV, an ABC-affiliate, showed a man wearing a hoodie with the hood up and a bandanna over his face while holding what appeared to be an AR-15 next to a vehicle with broken windows.
Within moments the private security guard, wearing a hoodie and a backpack, ran up, pointing a handgun at the individual and grabbed the rifle with his other hand. The man with his hood up had his hands up when he was dragged away by another person as the guard proceeded to take apart the rifle.
KOMO quickly pulled away from the scene, with one anchor saying, "We're going to break away from that shot there. Not sure who that person is, but obviously a very scary and fluid situation."
Naveed Jamali, a Newsweek editor at large and former FBI double agent, tweeted about the incident.
"White guy in #seattle protest open carrying, what appears to be an AR15, has his weapon taken away by an undercover police officer at gun point," he tweeted along with a clip from KOMO. "From a police source 'yes they busted the window of a police car and took the rifle.' Amazed he wasn’t shot," he added.
Man Attacked By Mob of Rioters in South Carolina Over MAGA Hat, Police Officer Shot At (VIDEO)
The officer was not hit and did not fire back. A man was chased down and brutally attacked by a mob of rioters for wearing a red ‘Make America Great Again’ hat and three people are in custody for shooting at a police officer in Columbia, South Carolina.
Richland County Sheriff’s Department has detained three suspects that are believed to be involved in shooting at one of their officers. The officer was not hit and did not fire back.
Like many other cities across the country, lawless and violent riots have taken over as local officials are not allowing police to do their jobs.
During the day on Saturday, local reporter Miranda Parnell tweeted “someone just showed up in a red hat,” along with a video of the mob assault.
When the protests against the senseless killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis started to turn violent, CNN’s Don Lemon insisted on still labelling the rioters and looters as mere “protesters.” MSNBC’s Ali Velshi — with a burning building behind him — told viewers “This is mostly a protest. It is not generally speaking unruly.”
This is in stark contrast to the coverage given to the largely peaceful rallies by anti-lockdown protesters who just wanted to go back to work and had rebelled against extremely restrictive policies in states like Michigan. These protestors were smeared as “racist” “threatening” and compared to Neo-Nazis.
The following are just a few of the worst examples of network and cable journalists deriding the lockdown protesters:
Smearing the Lockdown Protesters As Racist
“There are growing concerns this morning over who is turning out for demonstrations against public safety measures in the coronavirus crisis. Protesters swarmed Michigan’s state capitol again yesterday over statewide stay-at-home orders. Some of them had guns, big guns. The state’s governor says she’s concerned about possible racist elements among the crowd. Jericka Duncan reports on what some say is a pattern of very unsettling incidents.” — Co-host Gayle King on CBS This Morning, May 15.
“A third protest at the Michigan state capitol Thursday as demonstrators there continue to rebel against the governor’s coronavirus restrictions. This time, a fight broke out between demonstrators over a doll with a noose around its neck....It comes two weeks after protesters, some armed, walked into the capitol building in another attempt to rally against the state's shutdown….In Chicago, a photo of a woman holding a sign with the phrase similar to the one displayed over the gates of several concentration camps has gone viral.” — Correspondent Jericka Duncan on CBS This Morning, May 15.
Know your rights or get swept up into government’s ‘massive’ contact-tracing ‘show your papers’ scheme
Red-state Governors ‘all in’ with privacy-stealing contact-tracing scheme dreamed up by far-left technocrats
Is your governor ramping up plans to recruit, train and unleash an “army” of government workers to intrude upon citizens’ medical, professional and personal privacy?
I’m talking about the contact tracers that many states are in the process of deploying, along with Orwellian phone-tracking apps. Freedom to move about in society will depend on the results of a COVID-19 test that has a reputation for spitting out false positives — up to 80 percent false positives in people without symptoms.
But contact-tracing did not originate with Clinton, nor is this intrusive government program the sole domain of liberal blue states.
Governors Brian Kemp in Georgia, Henry McMaster in South Carolina, Mike Parson in Missouri, Mike DeWine in Ohio and Larry Hogan in Maryland are among the many GOP governors ramping up their own contact-tracing armies.
Maryland “has built a robust contact-tracing operation and massively expanded Maryland’s disease investigation capacity,” Hogan told CBS 13 in Baltimore. “This will be a partnership across all 24 jurisdictions, and an all-hands-on-deck effort to ensure health officials on the ground can trace and isolate the virus.”
In some states, failure to comply with the contact-tracers’ dictates on when you are allowed to leave your house, or even your failure to check in with them daily, can result in a misdemeanor crime on your record and fines of up to $1,000.
So, who, besides Clinton, is influencing the governors on this matter?
Chances are your governor is getting at least some of his advice from the National Governor’s Association, which is promoting the controversial plan to test as many Americans as possible and trace all of the personal contacts of those exposed to the virus.
Those testing positive will be ordered back into lockdown either at home or, in certain cases, ordering them out of their homes to be placed in “isolation centers.”
But the source of this blatantly unconstitutional program is not the Clintons, nor the Governor’s Association. It can be traced to a player that has been intimately involved in almost every aspect of COVID hysteria from the very beginning, even before the beginning of the COVID outbreak.
That source is the John Hopkins University Center for Health Security.
The National Governor’s Association has linked on its website to a white paperby the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security calling for a “massively scaled up” national contact-tracing program.
This is the same Johns Hopkins University that hosted the Event 201 conference in New York on Oct. 18, 2019, where 15 participants from globalist entities such as the United Nations, WHO, U.S. Centers for Disease Control, Chinese Centers for Disease Control, the CIA, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and World Economic Forum met to game-plan a response to a global coronavirus pandemic. How they knew there would be a global coronavirus pandemic a month before it appeared in Wuhan, China, is anybody’s guess, but they did.
Tens of millions of test kits are arriving at hospitals and clinics across America as we speak. Anyone entering a doctor’s office or hospital emergency room in the coming weeks should expect to be asked to take the COVID-19 test.
If you are sick with flu-like symptoms, it makes sense to get tested.
But what if you are not experiencing any such symptoms? What if you are in the doc’s office to be seen for arthritis in your knee or insomnia?
If you submit to the COVID test you are opening yourself up to the potential of being “contact traced,” meaning all of your friends, family and acquaintances over the past two weeks will be contacted and also asked to submit to a test, setting off a chain reaction of testing, government questioning and possible quarantining.
Contributors to the above report include 14 Johns Hopkins scholars.
This underscores what we already knew: Politicians are not the ones driving the draconian policies being implemented to one degree or another in almost every state.
These policies are the brainchild of technocratic “experts” who are wedded to their computer models and data-collection schemes. For a virus that has been found to have a paltry 0.26 percent mortality rate, these experts advised the complete shuttering of national economies across the globe.
Strangely, they were listened to.
And now we have an economic catastrophe that some economists are comparing to the Great Depression. In the U.S. alone, 36 million jobs have been lost, at least a third of businesses have closed, many of them never to reopen.
Even more curious is the fact that these technocrats are not held to any standard of accountability when their models are wrong.
Take the case of Dr. Caitlin Rivers, one of the contributors to the Johns Hopkins report being touted by the National Governors’ Association.
Rivers, an expert in computational epidemiology, forecast the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. She and her colleagues used data from intensive-care unit and inpatient bed needs in two Chinese cities (Wuhan and Guangzhou) to predict what health-care needs would be if and when the outbreak spread to the United States.
“Plans are urgently needed to mitigate the effect of COVID-19 outbreaks on the local healthcare system in U.S. cities,” the report concluded.
These plans cost billions and were never needed. Most of the field hospitals that were erected across the U.S. in response to Rivers’ report, and others like it, have been removed after weeks of sitting empty, never having treated a single patient.
Obviously, Rivers’ forecast was wrong. COVID-19 cases did spread widely in the U.S. and yet no city’s hospital system was overwhelmed and unable to treat the infected.
That Rivers even thought the U.S. and Chinese healthcare were comparable shows an unforgiveable ignorance of the superiority of U.S. healthcare over that of a communist nation.
So, after co-authoring a botched report on hospital capacity in early March, Rivers and her colleagues at Johns Hopkins moved on to recommend another draconian government reaction in April. Even though their initial dire predictions of overrun U.S. hospitals never materialized, they came out on April 10 with a new report recommending that millions of Americans get tested and contact-traced.
In the report’s introduction, the authors state that America cannot go back to “normal” until cities and states launch a “massively scaled up” testing and tracing regimen that sweeps millions of Americans into the state’s public-health net.
“A national effort to scale up and expand local, state, and territorial case investigation and management is necessary before US communities can begin to return to ‘normal.’ If we can find nearly every case, and trace the contacts of each case, it will be possible, in time, to relax the bluntest approaches: the extreme social distancing measures, such as stay at home orders, and realize the commensurate social and economic benefits.”
The report continues with even more dire language:
“This document sets forth a call to action that specifies what is needed to enable the United States to massively scale up its ability to identify COVID-19 cases in every community and trace contacts of every case in support of national recovery from COVID-19. In this document, we aim to aid public health officials and decision-makers at all levels of government—local, state, territorial, tribal, and federal—in expanding the capabilities and capacities necessary to undertake the case-based interventions that will greatly reduce transmission of COVID-19 and enable the country to gradually lift social distancing measures and movement restrictions, even before a vaccine is widely available.”
Meanwhile, LeoHohmann.com continues to get reports from Americans being strong-armed into giving out their personal information, wearing facemasks, gloves or taking other questionable actions under the guise that we are now in a “new normal.”
Others are being told that they must be tested for COVID before they can receive routine medical procedures and dental cleanings.
Remember, you don’t have to agree to any medical test and that includes the test for COVID-19. If you aren’t experiencing symptoms, refuse the test. If your doctor or dentist refuses to provide needed medical services based on your refusal of a COVID test, tell your doctor you will be seeking medical services elsewhere. He may not be so quick to lose your business.
Some businesses have reportedly told customers that facemasks are now “required by the CDC.” This is not true. The CDC has no such authority. Only Congress can pass laws, which must be signed by the president before they can take effect. The CDC only issues guidelines, not laws.
A dermatologist in West Virginia told a customer that it was required by the government to get answers from every patient to certain questions, including whether they had received a flu shot over the past 12 months [see form above].
Some doctors are also asking if the patient has guns in the home. Such questions are not required by any government law.
Many places of business will unfortunately pass off responsibility for their data-mining questions on the government. The best rule of thumb is to ask for a citation of law before giving out any personal data that is not related to the issue for which you are being treated.
“When you talk about empowering government agents to screen the populace in order to control and prevent spread of a virus,” writes constitutional attorney John Whitehead in a May 12 article for the Rutherford Institute, “what you’re really talking about is creating a society in which ID cards, round ups, checkpoints and detention centers become routine weapons used by the government to control and suppress the populace, no matter the threat.”
This is also how you pave the way for a national identification system, according to Whitehead:
“Imagine it: a national classification system that not only categorizes you according to your health status but also allows the government to sort you in a hundred other ways: by gender, orientation, wealth, medical condition, religious beliefs, political viewpoint, legal status, etc.”
He believes contact tracing is just another wolf in sheep’s clothing, a “show me your papers” scheme disguised as a means of fighting a virus.
Until our governors and mayors stop relying on questionable science in their policy-making decisions, the best policy for American citizens is to ignore and resist their unconstitutional and unscientific rules and regulations.
The best advice is to question everything.
Americans must get educated on exactly what their rights are in terms of medical privacy. The alternative is to hand their rights over. Once you give them up, you don’t tend to get them back.
