Vermont Governor Instructs Schools To Interrogate Students About Family Thanksgiving Gatherings

November 25, 2020 By Jordan Davidson

Vermont Gov. Phil Scott is giving schools the green light to interrogate students about their Thanksgiving activities following the break.
According to Scott, students or parents who admit to violating the state’s holiday travel and gathering rules will be forced to participate in online school for two weeks, he announced via Twitter on Tuesday. The penalty will be reduced to one week if the students in question take a COVID-19 test.

The same quarantine method, Scott claimed, should apply to businesses whose employees decide to celebrate the Thanksgiving holidays with friends and family.

“This isn’t a way around the ban or an excuse to get together,” he wrote. “The more we adhere to this policy, the faster we’ll lower case counts & ease up on restrictions.”

Scott also announced that COVID-19 the cancellation of school sports until further notice, pinning the responsibility of mitigating coronavirus spread on parents of school-age children.

“I hope adults realize the need to sacrifice to give our kids these experiences and keep them in school as much as possible,” he wrote.

Scott echoed promises made by other politicians around the country in March, claiming that making sacrifices now would make future circumstances better.

“I know asking you to sacrifice yet again is frustrating. But there is light at the end of the tunnel and we’ll get there,” he wrote. “The sacrifices we make today and in the next few weeks will ensure we get to the end faster, stronger and in a better position than any other state.”

During a press conference on Tuesday, Scott threatened that he has “a lot of tools in the toolbox” and could use them if the virus continues to spread in his state.

Just this week, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown encouraged citizens to call the police on their neighbors who violate her latest executive order, which includes a six-person limit from two households maximum on in-home gatherings. People who violate Brown’s orders this Thanksgiving could face misdemeanor penalties of up to 30 days in jail, fines of up to $1,250, or both.

Correct!

70 million plus Americans who voted for Trump, 90% of whom believe that MASSIVE fraud was perpetrated, and not one broken window, looted widescreen, or immolated establishment.

And when we DO protest peacefully, we even pick up our own trash.

Better news out of Australia

We're peaceful and patient right up until we're not.

Those who say we won't do anything and we'll just accept it must remember that only 3% of the people fought the British in the revolutionary war. Then they need to remember how many firearms have been purchased over the last 10 years. The elements are there, believe me!

isn't it more of a conservative thing to 'pull back, hunker down, remain safe' rather than the liberal thing to 'let it all hang out'

so, why is it a 'liberal thing' to wear a mask? to conserve???

it isn't, this has probably been spun here already, but i simplified it and bling, the led light in my puny little brain came on

these communists aren't even concerned we'll see relevance or irrelevance in their actions

but wearing masks will one day be blamed on the conservatives, by design

unless the conservatives win, right now

You're right. They'll say that because Trump and the conservatives refused to wear masks, Coronavirus wasn't killed off and THAT is why it keeps coming back every fall.

Oh, and the economic collapse? Trump.

Oh, and whatever war is headed our way if Biden is allowed to ascend to the Presidency? Trump.

Well...it depends on the context, the use, of the word.

For example...my dentist, for years...he was a conservative dentist.

That didn't mean he was campaigning for Reagan. That meant he was cautious in what he did or recommended be done. For example, he didn't tell me my Wisdom Teeth needed pulling - because they weren't crowding my jaw. In fact he filled a cavity on one.

A conservative Moslem mullah, does what they do in Iran. Stone rape victims and drop clay walls on homosexuals. Because that's what the great Prophet told them to do.

They also scream, "KILL THE INFIDEL" - because that's the basic tenet of their religion.

An American political conservative, believes in remaining true to the Founding Principles - of protection of life, of individual liberty, of legal protection of property.

A Progressive/Liberal (who is, in the traditional meaning of the world, ILLIBERAL) wants to dispense with all that nonsense of John Locke and force the subject into the Borg.

This mask mandate illustrates WHY. Masks DEMONSTRABLY do not work - but when the decision is made centrally, by a Grand Poobah, it frequently is made for covert reasons that have nothing to do with the professed "Good" reasons.

I'm politically conservative; I'm classically liberal; and I'm (in Goldwater's term) an extremist in defense of personal liberty.

Robert de Niro
Hollywood Actor

Actor Robert de Niro

Robert de Niro (born August 17, 1943) is an American actor, producer and director who has both Italian and American citizenship.

He has been associated in many scandals.

Legal Issues
Underage Prostitute Ring
De Niro was listed as a customer of a prostitution ring which used children:1

The case uncovers the brutal methods used to snare young women - some as young as 15 - into a call-girl agency specialising in wealthy, high- profile clients. It also exposes attempts by the French government machine to block an investigation which might embarrass senior politicians and damage French interests abroad.
Six people are charged with the running of an international prostitution ring, whose call-girls entertained the actor Robert de Niro…
Alibi Witness in a Pennsylvania Pedophilia Case
De Niro gave an alibi for a man charged with 133 counts of sexual assault against two children2:

The actor could be dragged into another sex inquiry. Just as the “Wag the Dog” star is starting to simmer down after being grilled by French authorities probing a prostitution ring, his name has popped up in a Pennsylvania pedophilia case. De Niro has not been charged with any wrongdoing. Rather, he has been asked to be an alibi witness for Bruce Wishnefsky, who has been charged with 133 counts of sexual assault against two underage girls in Carbon County, PA.
Connection to Roman Polanski
Robert De Niro is close friends with pedophile film director, Roman Polanski. De Niro was the first person Polanski met after he raped 13-year old Samantha Gailey in 19773.

Samantha [Gailey] had met Polanski through her mother, Susan, a television actress. The director said he had an assignment to photograph young girls for a Paris fashion magazine, Vogue Hommes, and had heard about Samantha from a mutual friend.
Polanski went to her home on the afternoon of Feb. 20 and took some pictures in the hills nearby. He picked her up again on March 10, stopped at Jacqueline Bisset’s house and, as the light was fading, went to Nicholson’s compound on Mulholland Drive.
Polanski dropped Samantha off at her home a few hours later and went about his business. He met with Robert De Niro that evening to discuss making a movie based on a William Goldman novel, “Magic.”
The next night, a team of seven police investigators and prosecutors pulled up to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
Robert De Niro and Roman Polanski have maintained their friendship all these years.4

Connection to Peter Nygard
He is mentioned as a visitor to accused pedophile Peter Nygard.

Visitors to the [Peter Nygard’s] estate, renamed Nygard Cay, have included Michael Jackson, Oprah Winfrey, Robert De Niro, Prince Andrew and George H.W. Bush.5
Connection to Marina Abramovic

This photo’s EXIF data, the event was the opening of the TriBeCa Penthouse by Axel Vervoordt at The Greenwich Hotel and was taken by David X Prutting/BFAnyc.com on April 17th, 2014.

Connection to St. Tropez, in France
From the Radar Online by Gina Bacchiocchi, published on September 9th, 20146:

De Niro reportedly claimed he had met Bourgeois through tennis player Wojtek Fibak, who told him the soft-porn photographer could set him up with beautiful women.
“The first time Bourgeois showed me photos of girls, they were taken from mags like Lui and Playboy,” De Niro testified, according to Levy. “He said he could introduce me to them, in a friendly way, without any notion of money. It is possible that I chose one of these girls, and it seems that Charmaine Sinclair was the one.”
He later claimed he had sex with Sinclair in a St. Tropez villa, but “there was no money transaction.” He was not arrested or charged with any crime, found only guilty of having sex with a woman who at other times sold her body for large sums of money, the book claims.

I'm politically conservative; I'm classically liberal; and I'm (in Goldwater's term) an extremist in defense of personal liberty.

so, you're saying it's based upon the definition of the word conservative?

I Fully Understand...but, the weakness here is the inability to communicate with others around the globe which in turn leaves us divided

I had a conversation with a friend once about the current meaning of words, and Inflation came to mind, as did the word Save

i didn't change meanings, you didn't change meanings, local regions didn't change meanings...Inflation used to mean amount of money in circulation, now it can mean price changes, upwards

Save used to mean to 'build a pile' of anything and hold on to it, now it means we don't spend as much on that purchase

now, if you were to ensure people were always off-balance, you'd change the meaning of words to stifle communications

o.k., lets add that as the cherry on top:
I wear a mask because I want to live to destroy a conservative who's beating on a homo...(you can finish the rest...)

that is so spun it can't even be reconciled in a dullards mind (not you)....conversation has to rely on some type of foundation and the foundations, through the claims of 'forward thinking' and 'freedom' and 'safety', have been destroyed and in the name of Fundamental Transformation, it's all been skewed again, now to the point, most 'dullards' can clearly see there's something amiss

i'm just musing about this as it's plain as day to me

your pov is 'correct' as are most others pov on this subject as the base take-a-way should be: We're in a place where we don't want to be" up is down, left is right and right is wrong

and that's by design

Fredrick Heyak addressed this, in his book The Road to Serfdom. He resisted the term "Conservative" to describe his political leanings - Conservative, in Britain, was basically Tory, or Loyalist. Stick to traditions, mindlessly.

He favored "Liberal" - and he explained why. Remember, at the time, the 1950s, the Left's appropriation of the label "Liberal" was relatively new - they'd finally dumped Progressive, as it became obvious it was REGRESSIVE. Sort of the way "colored" as a replacement for "nigra" was first demanded, and then accepted, and then looked down on, and then was deemed RAY-CYST and replaced by Black. Which now is replaced by...other terms. You get it.

Heyak wanted us to take back Liberal, but that didn't happen. So we're left with Conservative - and frankly, in the American context, that of staying true to Founding Principles, it's not a bad choice.
