I think we are at or close to a bottom or we decline much more than all the just one more flush guys have been waiting for. We'll know fairly shortly. GDX under cutting the previous lows around 30 probably not a big deal if you consider what Bitcoin did recently under cutting the 30K low and breaking to 28K.

Watching PSLV for clues. $7 is critical.

If the market flush out is epic and sucks all down with it then yeah. If it's a grinder then most of the metals selling has to have been done. Maybe a short knee jerk on a sharp correction, the point at which no one is sure what is happening. I tend toward the idea that the majority of selling has been done and while we might see lower prices there will be small volume down there. I don't think anything is a solid bet here... hedgy,hedgy...

I have a pile of this one! My second largest PM stock holding. Started buying in the mid 3's.

@ that yield, given it's well ruin and solid, it has to be a great option. Might lag pure gold plays but I'd love that sort of dividend stream. Anything serving up 10% here is typically toxic.

Schwab seemed to take forever getting back and you didn't know if you got filled or not.

The other option with Schwab is they has a lousy cross trade system. I don't know how it works in the US but here a broker will net trades out before market. That's to say if the guy sitting in the next Schwab account is selling what you are buying the order never hits the market. If their cross trade algo sucks then maybe you just get sucked into their back office hell if your order is flagged for a cross trade.

2c

Just a passing thought.

Seemed worse with the thinly traded issues especially near the opening.

Isn't that the one I just posted? What is with the different name on the same ticker? Did I get it wrong?

No, you got it right. You did post a chart on GGN. I should have replied to that post along with Lancers post.
My mistake...

CYA analysis by David Brady of Sprott. Worth what you pay. Supports 25-26 20-21 worst case 16. GDX. Bottom is in on a close over 33.50.

:2 thumbs up:

If we have another government shutdown, does the overall market take a dip and take minors with it? The dollar definitely takes a hit. And physical PM's go up?

Cringe worthy. Tony Bennett standard. So you been drinking since Thursday afternoon. Blew off work Friday drinking all weekend. Open mic nite Sunday. And it goes something like this.

Wish I would have figured this out a few years ago. Then again, I have the same fear now I had back then. You can make more money fading reality... until you can't. I didn't figure we had this much time back then. Still don't know how much time we have until reality sets in.

Stop losses are how I manage "that fear."

[Well, that's part of how I manage it, anyway.]

Spreading the risk around doesn't hurt either.

So what l’m hearing is, “Git while the gittin’s good.”
Anybody else ready to liquidate and move to cash? I’m heavy miners and commodities; might be prudent if Jack is right.

I think we are inside 30 days until we see a 2-3 day run with a drop in the markets to the tune of 20%+.

Variety of reasons, but there's someone on this board that made a very good point about the NY FED and the bond rates, and repo rates.

Repo normally goes up prior to a crash... flat for now.

Yes... as noted in the previous post.

BUT... typically that occurs AFTER a train wreck.

Makes you wonder.

Very astute observation. Congress hasn’t passed a budget yet. Only got about a week to get that done.
USA runs out of money on the 15th of October.
I mean, it’s only the global reserve currency. What can go wrong ? ‍♂️

Repo agreements basically signal a Lack of liquidity. Reverse Repos (occurring now) signal way Too Much liquidity.

We also have the #KenGriffinLied trending. Pretty much proven he lied during that first Gamestop hearing.

Repo market is flat for the Fed, 0 participation or very close to it.

Reverse repo is off the chart.

What do you do when you are more concerned about return of capital than return on capital? When real world opportunity is limited?

If I gave you billions and billions to manage and you confronted the real problems of placing that in a market then you would soon see how it is a problem... unless you don't mind losing it.
