I get the sense it has less to do with the lunatic fringe than things Zed is going thru on his own. It is the ol' bird thing. You let it fly. If it returns then it's yours. If it doesn't it never was.

I stepped away from this place for about 4 years. In a way it was good to take a break. Like any other social media, this place can become addicting and interfere with non-virtual relationships and emotions. Zed will be back when he's ready.
In the meantime, we have a solid base to keep this thread strong. How many pages will Zed have to get caught up on, when he returns? I hope we break 1000 by then!

The way the miners are trading I don't see all that much downside even if we break down hard in the metals now. A stock like SILJ won't get close to $11.40.

It was down to an intra-day low of $11.48 right around Hallowe'en. Steady hands, youngblood....
At best it will be a sideways crawl. I have a bid in at $12.55

Yeah Jelly, I been trying to find the bottom of SILJ.
but of course every time I buy, it drops.
I swear I could buy every dip down to $0.50 cents and it would still fall some more.

Recent supports in SILJ and MTA getting close. Silver support from what I can see is obviously 21.4-22.00. The breakout was around 19 so if we fail to hold supports around 21ish we might see a retest of the breakout. Tough to gauge sentiment right now. Currently flat pm.

It seems like everyone is giving up on the miners right now. What looked like a clear and strong breakout just a couple weeks ago has turned into everyone dumping shares. Atleast I have put options for protection.

SILJ looking to put in a multi-year low if this double bottom doesn't hold. I just learned about trailing stops on a buy. Might put in a bid with 7% trailing stop.
That would mean a buy at $12.75, assuming this is the legit bottom. Any thoughts or criticisms?

So the Crash of April 2020 was driven by global panic over Covid. Current narrative can go one of two ways:

Omicron is pumped and hyped by the MSM as the most dangerous wave yet. Idiots believe this and global trade shuts down just before christmas. Market negative. Metals crash.

Omicron turns out not to be such a bad variant and the markets stay positive. People pump hard into USD, TSLA, AAPL, GME, etc and the metals suffer. Market positive so metals crash.

There's no way out of this. Feels like a repeat of April 2020. I'm getting the itch to cash out soon. Only thing I will invest in is Volatility index.
Being a gold bug is tough man....
