I was thinking today. Inflation is all we are hearing. Is it a way to force E V I L employers to pay more, and raise prices, and lower the corp profits all in one.
The other side is who "wins" by higher wages? Big Govt. Who wins by higher prices? Big Govt. Who wins by lower corp profits? Big Govt lap dog businesses.
So down here in North Carolina this has been big news of late. Quite a few shootings in the Southpoint Mall which is in a decent area of Durham. I was surprised to see who the perps were. I thought they might be white honors students but no.

The new quarterly derivatives report from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, part of the US Treasury Department, was released earlier this past week covering Over-The-Counter (OTC) derivatives positions of US banks, for positions held as of September 30.
If you look at MAG there is strong support around $14. If we lose that level I would be concerned if I owned a lot. The best time to buy If you like buying low is when it is hardest to do.

I've been using gold in Aussie dollars as the metric for gold recently. Taking a look, this pullback today brought us down to support. This pullback was larger than I expected it to be, so even though it's still above support, I'm less bullish than I was previously. It wouldn't take much to break support.
On the bulls side: Volume has been declining over the past few weeks while it has been consolidating. A good sign that it is a bullish consolidation. Now we just watch for the break.

Don't know about the miners short positions being unwound seems more like tax loss selling than anything. As far as the Uranium stocks go it seems URNM has been selling to pay the year end dividend.

Still watching gold in australian dollars. We need to rally here, otherwise risk a steep drop.

Gold in Aussie dollars - still contained in the consolidation pattern. The good news is we did get a bounce yesterday instead of dropping below support.
Looks like the new year will give us direction for the medium term. The result of this pattern should give us direction for the next 2 months: more downside to this never-ending correction off the Aug 2020 high, or the rally we've been waiting for.

Does anyone know much about this ETF. I just ran across a Sprott junior miner ETF, SGDJ. Anyone own it and have some thoughts? I have to say I don't have any of those miners so this might be a good add for myself.

I’ve traded into and out of some Sprott. SPPP, PSLV and SGDJ. Their prospectus and managers are top notch.
My opinion is that they are good funds but are long plays.
if you prefer to day trade or swap portfolio in a manner of days or weeks, they are not for you.
If you wanna buy in and come back in 2025 to see what’s shaking, it might be a good option for a hands-off investment. JMHO
