Taezz, are Morel Mushroom hunts quite common in your area?
thought I saw something on that once, where they were coveted by chefs?
I hunt/pick them from April thru May. I do very good to just a nice walk. I have a friend that sells to the local supermarket.
Morels are used by chef's world wide.
I prefer Chanterelle's & we cook with, a lot.

Chanterells, before cleaning them.

Headed to Santa Theresa yesterday, small surfer town in the extreme southwest corner of the Nicoya. You will notice up and down the beach virtually no people (might have seen 40 all day mostly surfing), we found a mango to hide under and enjoyed the continuous waves for 8 hours.... Pure Bliss

Sitting on the above porch enjoying an awesome breeze as we head toward storms this afternoon... when the humpbacks started breaching off shore, best I could do with my handheld Canon. Now my bride told me to bring my good camera, but in classic fashion I told her not much we haven't already shot.... score bride infinity, me zero

Took a ride with a friend in his 350Z yesterday at a local autocross event, wow! I was really impressed with the way it drove. He took 2nd in his class and 12th overall out of about 120 drivers. He goes to Nationals over the Labor Day week and hopes to rank nationally.

Then when I was driving home I came across a little more peaceful scene on my neighbors front walk. Deer eating the English Ivy.

Newmisty I took this picture, just a short walk from my house. You ought to stop by and say hello. View attachment 139605
Wow! Yeah, I was just there in May. That's the big one I mentioned. The architect told me that particular building will grow and shrink up to 3' due to moisture.

You must have taken that pic from the RR tracks. Beautiful area.

If you come across one of these guys try to resist the temptation to pet the cute furry thing. It is a Hickory Tussock moth caterpillar. Their quills are venomous. I stumbled across it while cutting down some unwanted trees today.

I used to get popped by caterpillars every once in a while in the Space Coast of FL...can't remember what they looked like but it felt like a hornet sting and fingers throbbed for about an hour.

I don't think there's a piece of amber that size in the world. It's maybe some sort of polycarbonate. Eye catching anyway.

If I were guessing how was made, maybe mold poured and then hand worked. It's a display in a place with no cheap stuff anywhere.

My initial impressions about Beijing can be summed up by this ATM pic.

Size, unh, that was hard to judge, there was nothing to scale against. Five hundred pound chunks of amber probably are pretty rare.

That certainly is a fine picture of a shed.
