But when I went to use it on the mixed woods, as I was lowering it into the cut, it launched itself horizontally. Damn, I will do it slower next time! Nope. Same thing happened, it grabbed as I was lowering it into the cut and launched itself again.
Try drilling a pilot hole big enough to fit the blade in. It's a bitch to drop a saber saw blade into material.

all the original floor is a hodgepodge of one byes that looked like boards for shipping crates..1x4‘s up to 1x11’s..

Great grandpa was in shipping at the factory. Built most of his house with scraps. House still stands & is straight and square.

About 7 feet, it took me a good 40 minutes to get him to the boat but I cut him loose about a minute after this picture. Damn sure don't need 7' sharks thrashing around on my 23' boat.

Was cleaning house today when some Rubles literally randomly fell to the floor. After picking them up I admired their beauty and took a few pics with the phone cam and used onboard editing adjustments.
Been letting loose
And having fun exploring different ways to utilize the basic camera but get
"Artistic" results.

I climb with my wife and daughter in the gym (we went today) during the winter, and outside when it is warmer. I have a climbing buddy about the same age that likes to go out in rhe winter. I feel lucky, hard to get regular partners when you get to my age group (60).

That's pretty low, foreclosing on a bald eagle's nest.

Looks like the side that exploded.
side that exploded? you must be thinking of mt st helens

If I go over to lincoln park (In west seattle) I can see that view. (of course that view is magnified by the photog's lens).

If it wasn't for the nutzo peoples here, it'd be a real nice place.

As you can see below, ice gets heavy. If the branch has no more give in it, it breaks under the load.

hey WillA2 , we will take the hoarfrost and you can keep the freezing rain

I’ll wager it’s a bitch to drive around your neighborhood

You can do a little "skating" without putting the blades on. I thawed out my truck just in case we needed to use it. God forbid. I know how to drive on the stuff, just don't like doing it. Studded tires and chains are helpful, if you have to.

How far is it to drive around the block at your place? It's a 6 mile trip here in the summertime and 8-16 in winter.

not very far

looking south down Main Street...there is a place to pump gas and diesel , a bank , a grocery store , post office , church , and a liquor store which is now closed and up for sale.

That sure as heck looks like an A-20 Havoc to me. I knew a rear-gunner who flew in them. He said the ones he flew in had no turret. If you wanted to shoot somebody behind you, then you've got to roll back part of your canopy (343MPH) and raise up the twin .30-cal guns mounted on a circular rail. BRRRR that sounds cold.

Feck yeah, Someone_else. Those tools are the bomb. I was given a multi tool as a Christmas gift a few years back. Thought it was such a sweet gesture for someone to spend all that money on me. Then I noticed the tool @ Harbor Freight for $19.99. The one I was given lasted a year and I abused it so when it stopped working, I just went up and got another $20.00 model.

Blades are important choices with these tools. A cheap blade is not going to last long.

EEK. EEK. hammer, me lad. If somebody gave you a Leatherman and not a Rust and Bust knockoff, the guarantee is lifetime. I was cutting barbed wire with the pliers part of mine, and also splitting posts using a hammer and the blade. After I got done, I noticed that the blade was loose. More fiddling, and the thing broke.

I got Leatherman on the phone, and asked if there was any kind of warranty. The guy says: "Yeah, send the busted one to us, and we will send you a new one. What model do you have?"

I told him, and he said, "That model is discontinued. We'll give you an upgrade model." And they did.

Can't you just get a ladder?

I mean, put a fargin decent ladder next to where you are going to climb, then I can give directions and advice right alongside you all the way up.
