Lost cat.

lol. At first I thought it was a cat. My cat is trained to know if I tell her there is a cat outside she will run to the window to look. She was quite disappointed in me this time!

At least they eat nasty things too, like ticks and pests that like to eat roots of plants.

Well, if you're looking for an unending source of grease to render, there you go.

My buddy catches the heck out of em in Iowa trapping coyotes. They just take em out of the trap, pick em up by scruff of the neck and throw em in the weeds. The things shit green on the trap, the set is useless. Have to pull the trap and put it in the creek for a couple of weeks to get the stink off. Im glad we dont have em here. No ticks either, so no need.

I remember spending some time out in Salt Lake, and I would see those storms blowing in from a distance. It's a beautiful and dangerous thing to behold.
I am a weather spotter but now I mostly only watch from my place because I got tired of dealing with all the dumb/distracted/oblivious drivers. Those 2 pics were taken from the end of my driveway last night.

Nasty things. Coyotes wont even eat em.

Possums? There're everywhere in the South, especially frisby road kill possums. Their defense mech of "playing possum" doesn't work at all against an oncoming truck.

We've also got lots of armadillos. Used to think they are useless but I found out that they are hell on fire ants. 8-9 years ago, I had huge fire ant mounds everywhere on my property. I remember walking outside one night to take a piss and ending doing it standing right on a mound. That got my attention. Since the armadillos moved in, not a mound anywhere!

This shot got it all.

I love watching lightning but being in it scares the hell out of me. In my 22' center console (no cabin) fishing boat, I've been caught out in the Gulf of Mexico in storms. There I am, miles from shore and the highest thing around, hanging onto a stainless steel steering wheel with a perfect ground path to the water and lightning just popping everywhere. That takes the enjoyment factor way into negative territory.

Gawd, yes. BTDT. I was on my buddy's boat off the east coast of Floriduh, and he was down at 110' depth, catching lobsters.

Here comes the lightning storm, and I cannot move the fargin boat. EEK. EEK. Hail, lightning, noise. And my bud was unaware of anything out of the ordinary.

For those who have never had the experience: You are perfectly safe on scuba in a lightning storm. But the weird thing is that thunder does NOT reach you, but the sea floor keeps lighting up -- looks like someone is setting off flashbulbs above it. Really kinda kewl.

You're warning an eagle that has no conception that your chkins are not it's food, if it can get one. Good luck with that.
Never warned the bird at all [You certainly have a way of changing what you read into what you want it to say].
Needed some more firewood so a tree fell down that had a bunch of sticks stuck up near the top

You don’t see these draglines this close together very often.

I was thinking along similar lines

look at those pin bores, and that bushing in the bottom hole is huge, that must be a huge press used to put that in

replacing a track pin has to be a chore

do you think HF would have a set of jack stands for that job?

:don't know:

This isn't my picture, it came from the online local newspaper a couple of years ago. This guy did catch this shark night fishing from the beach at Pensacola Beach. Apparently he and his buds do this a lot.

I'm still trying to figure how they got this 1000 # + shark from the breakers, across the sand and into the truck.

Also that rod sticking out of the back of the truck looks like a spinning rod. No way in hell is anyone gonna horse this shark anywhere with a spinning rod.

TomD,
No matter how you cut it, wouldn't want to mess with that dude... just pulling in a full size ray is hard enough, that shark no thanks. Notice he was a hammerhead master in 2010, did it all in flip-flops.....
