They are succulents, and like hot Floriduh sun, and watering regularly. They spread, and do not breed true (well, not always). That means if you get one kind, within two years you will have three or four kinds... including your original. <-- To me, that is a huge plus... they are all gorgeous. I think the flower petals are electrified.

They are like Morning Glories or Passion Flowers: you get 1/2 day for each flowering.

Yes! They seriously looked like they were hooked up to an external power supply!

Would love to meet your feathered friend, well, you guys too! What a personality and, he never flies away? Amazing!
He fly's on occasion or if he is startled, he does not go far & he is anxious to get back to us.
Here at our temporary home, the RV park, we have one tree that I put him in & he won't come out until almost dark.
I get a photo of that in the next couple of days.

I grew up with one of those in our home. We would put it to our ear & "listen to the ocean". :2 thumbs up::finished::beer:

i did that. I didn’t realize that you could hear the waves in so much detail. Nature is beautiful.

How about a pic of that shell with a dime next to it...?

BA15757B-8662-436A-86A6-90F08A19A8BE.jpeg

the best I can do is my hand.

there were a significant amount of shells in the water, if you looked long enough and fought the waves you would find one mostly intact. I found a few while I was there on vacation.

there was a child that had a very beautiful display of shells, I wished I took a picture of it. I gave this shell to her.

Just took these today in Grand Lake Colorado. 18-135mm lens zoomed in 2.5Mpxls and 18Mpxls from about 200 ft away.

I zoomed in and cropped the pics.

One of my favorite spiders, black and yellow argiope, made a web among my lettuce plants which are seeding.

Nah, spiders are my friend. Maybe 2.5" leg span on that one. Hard to get close with how overgrown the garden is right now. I had to stand in weird positions to get the pics. Tripping on cherry tomatoes.

A neighbor asked us if we wanted some fresh peaches. We said, "Certainly." And then, "Thanks." Then we canned them for later.

The common color in our area of co is brown. We always laugh when we see the colorful colorado sign at the state line, then make fun of it.

Nice spray of flowers SC

yep, brown is the color of my true loves hair....

Colorado turns brown (dormant) in the Winter. It's an upper desert. From 3,317 ft at the Kansas border to Mt. Elbert at 14,433 ft.

The higher you go the dryer it gets. Even when it rains it's dry rain.

It's so dry here that when you take a shower and towel off the towel is bone dry in an hour, maybe two.
