That's a heck of a spot Sampson. Is it off a marked trail? Or maybe its your property(noting the clearing)?
Just rambling up random logging roads and exploring a bit. This area was opened up and logged last year so it is very open and easy hiking. The road switchbacks up the mountain so I parked at a loading area and hiked in along a skidder trail until I found a nice creek on a sunny south slope. Was a great spot to stop and fill up my water, have a fire to cook some lunch, and do a little reading in the sun.
And the view was pretty good too
Oh my God, it's amazing Sampson! So majestic.

My last Lab died on me some years back and I can't go through that again. The wife and I decided that it's cats from now out only to find that I can get incredibly attached to them as well. I find that they have as differentiated personalities a humans. I had one cat die on me 5 years ago that hurt me as badly as any death that I've ever experienced. I can't explain it but there it is.
