I remember them fwaggles. I've watched that show tripping on acid.
Izzat a cherry tree?
LOL, note the golf ball in the lower left quad of the first pic? And the second where you sliced it up to the heavens...
Nice pics, but what are those orbs, really.
That turned out pretty cool.@EricTheCat - today I downloaded a free photo editing app that automatic removes backgrounds to see if/how they work....blew me away. I used a couple of year recent pictures to practice with and all I did was upload it and it automatically remove the background I even has to touch anything. I gave me the option of using a black white or transparent background so I tried to transparent one pick ed the picture I took on the lake the other day & stuck your animals in it...literally took less than 5 minutes. I had no idea

Most excellent job sir.
That's right by where the creek enters the river I mentioned here a little while back. Many trees gnawed up by beavers in the area. Definitely lots of wildlife activity there.those are deer bits............and a k9 track...........heck of a place to set a trap or 3...........
Quite a glimpse of the wood duck.View attachment 253230

Cool, kind victims with a good sense of humor though! That's right by where the creek enters the river I mentioned here a little while back. Many trees gnawed up by beavers in the area. Definitely lots of wildlife activity there.
Unfortunately today I saw my first evidence of dumb asses in the area today at the trail entrance.

If you only knew how super smart and sweet they are. This one recognized me after only meeting him once, a year prior. RIP Duck-boy.

I've been told that wood ducks are one of the most reclusive animals or birds around. I don't think I've ever seen one in the wild. Not sure why but your photo not loading for me.
Interesting to know. Most of the ducks I encounter are very hesitant to get too close. Saw some mergansers again but they were too far for a decent pic.
Of course, these guys tend to be a little less shy (mallards). I am loving that place by the river. Haven't encountered one person there. Today I even saw a kingfisher but wasn't able to get a pic. Also saw an owl on my way out. Really wish I could have gotten a pic but it was gone as soon as it was there. Flying silently.

Just what are you trying to say ????It really goes to show how smart they are!
I can imagine that being such a bright, flashy, beautiful bird they were/are often seen as a target.
No I didn't mean it like that! I mean people in the past made them scared so they don't know a good guy when they see one.Just what are you trying to say ????![]()
