Kennedy Family Dynasty - Joseph Kennedy The Original Gangster & Politician - Kennedy Biography
Organized Crime Channel

Published on Sep 9, 2017

Joseph P. Kennedy Documentary. The Kennedy Family Biography. Many are aware of the Kennedy Family Dynasty but few know the details of the real Kennedy Sr. who was a prominent bootlegger who worked along side of the Mafia in the 1920's and 1930's.

Although the family never admitted by the Kennedy Family, Joe Kennedy was a bootlegger along side of notorious mob boss Frank Costello.

Kennedy pursued a career in business and investing upon graduation from college. In his mid to late twenties, he made a large fortune as a stock market and commodity investor and reinvesting in real estate and a wide range of business industries. He never built a significant business from scratch, but his timing as both buyer and seller was usually excellent. Sometimes he made use of inside information in ways which were legal at the time but were later outlawed. In fact, it was Kennedy who later assisted in outlawing the very manipulations he had once engaged in, in the course of his role on the SEC, after President Franklin D. Roosevelt had appointed him as its first chairman.

After Kennedy's 1969 death and only a week before his own death in 1973, Brooklyn Mafia boss Frank Costello claimed to an author/collaborator that he had been associated with Kennedy in bootlegging during Prohibition. To this day, as Kennedy's most recent and most thorough biographer David Nasaw asserts, no credible evidence has been found linking Joseph Kennedy to bootlegging activities.[14] When Fortune magazine published its first list of the richest people in the United States in 1957, it placed him in the $200–400 million group ($1.71 billion–3.41 billion today), meaning it estimated him to be between the ninth and sixteenth richest person in the United States.

The NFL and The Mafia Documentary: Organized Crime and Gambling with the Mob
Organized Crime Channel

Published on Jul 25, 2017
The NFL and The Mafia Documentary, Organized Crime and Gambling within the Mob. Fixed NFL Games Biography.

There has long been a connection between organized crime and the NFL, especially in the league’s early-to-middle-aged eras.

This Documentary was created by Jessica Savitch who was Killed in a gangland style death that was made to look accidental, after it was aired. It was suppressed after that and has only come to light after the tapes were recently discovered in a safe.

This film shows how any NFL Game can be fixed, (Not Just Football) and the powers that control the fixing. RAW and to the point, Jessica Savitch tried to warn us and paid for that warning with her life.

How Organized Crime Influences Professional Football
NFL ties to organized Crime and How Superbowl 50 was Fixed

Pro football stars such as Paul Hornung, Joe Namath, Len Dawson, Alex Karras and Bobby Layne and owners like Art Modell (Cleveland Brown-Baltimore Ravens), Clint Murchison (Dallas Cowboys), Eddie DeBartolo (San Fransisco 49ers) and Carroll Rosenbloom (L.A. Rams, Baltimore Colts) were all linked to either socializing or doing business with mobsters.

The Green Packers’ Hornung and the Detroit Lions’ Karras were suspended for the entire 1963 seasons for betting on pro football and cavorting with known mob figures. Hornung was a Hall of Fame running back, while Karras was an All-Pro defensive lineman, who went on to have a successful career as an actor in Hollywood following retirement.

Namath, one of the most high-profile quarterbacks in NFL history when he played with the New York Jets in the 1960s and 1970s, and Karras, were both forced to sell their interests in bars they owned in the respective cities they played in because of the “hoodlum element” that patronized the establishments.

Hall of Fame field generals Layne and Dawson were both investigated by the league for manipulating outcomes of games, each tied to Detroit mob associate and nationwide gambling czar Donald (Donnie Dice) Dawson – no relation to Len. Layne took Detroit to multiple NFL championships and Dawson led the Kansas City Chiefs to the 1970 Super Bowl.

On more than one occasion throughout their time with the Lions, Layne and Karras gave sideline passes for regular season and playoff games to infamous Detroit mobsters Anthony (Tony Jack) Giacalone, Vito (Billy Jack) Giacalone, Anthony (Tony Z) Zerilli and Michael (Big Mike) Polizzi. The FBI wound up taking the wiseguys into the Bureau’s Miami office to interview them about their relationship to the team and their players following a game played in Florida.

In addition to his bar ownership being investigated and censured, Karras had his and some of his teammates’ traveling companions to-and-from games come under scrutiny by NFL officials. Karras, Wayne Walker, Darris McCord, Howard (Hop-along) Cassidy and John Gordy were known to drive to and from away contests in a mafia-owned “Party bus” – a double-decker bus adorned with female escorts and gambling tables that dropped from the ceilings. The party bus excursions were cited by the NFL as part of why Karras was suspended in 1963.

Murchison, the founder of the Cowboys’ franchise, was pals with Dallas Mafiosi Joe Campisi and held joint business interests with New York mobsters Vito Genovese (Don of the crime family that bears his name) and Gerry Catena. Modell ran in social circles in Ohio that included Cleveland Jewish racketeers like Alex (Shondor) Birns and Italian mafia powers like Louis (Babe) Triscaro. Hailing from heavily mobbed-up Youngstown, Ohio, DeBartolo has been connected to the gangster Carrabia brothers (Charlie the Crab, Ronnie the Crab and Orlie the Crab) of the Cleveland mafia and Vincent (Briar Hill Jimmy) Prato, Joseph (Little Joey) Naples and Pat Ferrucio of the Steel City mafia family. Rosenbloom, a heavy bettor, died in a mysterious drowning in April 1979.

Los Angeles Goodfella and future acting boss of the Dragna syndicate Altadena (Jimmy the Weasel) Frattiano admitted to fixing a 1951 L.A. Rams game. Dice Dawson accused Bobby Layne of fixing at least seven games for him in the 1950s, one of them being the final game of the 1956 regular season versus the Chicago Bears for the division championship, where the underdog Bears beat favored Detroit. Layne asked out of the game in the second quarter and never returned.

NFL security and the FBI suspected that at least 10 games were “fixed” during the 1979 campaign and nine NFL teams in the 1980s had players investigated by league security for their alleged association with gamblers and members of the mafia – the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Washington Redskins, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers.

Black Watch Snipers
Canada Strong

Published on Jul 12, 2017
Black Watch Snipers tells the epic "band of brothers" story of five men who fought their way through WWII as a team of snipers and scouts.

Their mission: to clear towns of German troops that that would decimate advancing Allied soldiers. This is a "Band of Brothers" story as told by the men who experienced it: the surviving members of a sniper unit from Canada’s most storied Regiment - the Black Watch. They tell vivid, but chilling stories of their deadly solo attacks and encounters with the enemy.

The Black Watch snipers did the dirtiest work in the war, armed with nothing but their wits and their rifles, as they endured the ultimate test of combat in the liberation of Western Europe from Nazi tyranny. Several of the men are still alive to talk about what they went through, and gripping, dramatic re-creations bring their experiences to life. This is their story.

Dinner Set Gang Documentary - Americas Greatest Cat Burglar - Peter Salerno Biography
Organized Crime Channel

Published on Aug 22, 2017
The Dinner Set Gang (aka The Fat Cat Burglars) were a crew of thieves who became notorious in the late 1960s and 1970s for their burglaries of the homes of the wealthiest Americans while the victims were at home eating dinner.

Newspapers in New York City and Florida nicknamed them "The Dinner Set Gang" as they would break into the homes of victims while the alarms were turned off making it easier to get into the homes of the wealthy, while they ate dinner usually on the bottom floor dining rooms, the dinner set gang would break into a window and empty out safes and jewelry usually in the upper bedrooms on the other side of the houses they burglarized
.
The principal members of the gang were brothers-in-law Peter Salerno and Dominick Latella. Others included their driver Carmine Stanzione, the husband of Salerno's sister.

Peter Salerno was the action half of The Dinner Set Gang. He and lookout Dominick Latella set a high bar for cat burglars in the early '70s, spawning many copycats and even requests from the mafia to train burglars.

Salerno and Latella married twin sisters Gloria and Sandra Savino who were from a family with Mafia connections. Despite the fact that the gang only received a fraction of the total retail value of their thefts, there was always plenty of money around. The Savino sisters recall putting "20,000 dollars at a time" in envelopes. They spent the money on everything: cars, clothes, homes, and boats. The money didn't even begin to run out until the 1980s when the duo planned to retire from their lives of crime.

It was in the 1990s that Salerno and Latella came out of retirement. Gloria Salerno had been diagnosed with advanced breast cancer and the Salernos did not have enough money to pay for her treatments. They burglarized roughly 40 houses within several months. By this point, Salerno was "obsessed." Gloria Salerno recovered, but her husband and brother-in-law were finally caught.

The Dinner Set Gang's biggest target was the Du Pont family. In 1972, they arrived at the Du Pont's Long Island mansion by raft and pilfered $12 million worth of jewelry, including a flawless 17.65 carat natural pink pear-shaped diamond that was valued at $1.8 million at the time.

Semion Mogilevich - The Most Dangerous Mobster In The World of Organized Crime
Organized Crime Channel

Published on Apr 23, 2017
Semion Moglievich Documentary - The most dangerous mobster gangster of organized crime in the World. One of the most sought after criminals, Semion Mogilevich is one of the most feared and hunted gangsters of organized crime today.

Semion Yudkovich Mogilevich (Ukrainian: Семен Ю́дкович Могиле́вич, tr: Semen Yudkovych Mohylevych, [sɛmˈɛn ˈjudkɔwɪt͡ʃ mɔɦɪˈlɛwɪt͡ʃ]; born June 30, 1946) is a Ukrainian-born, alleged Russian organized crime boss, believed by European and United States federal law enforcement agencies to be the "boss of bosses" of most Russian Mafia syndicates in the world. Mogilevich is believed to direct a vast criminal empire and is described by the FBI as "the most dangerous mobster in the world." He has been accused by the FBI of "weapons trafficking, contract murders, extortion, drug trafficking, and prostitution on an international scale."

Mogilevich's nicknames include "Don Semyon" and "The Brainy Don" (because of his business acumen). According to US diplomatic cables, he is said to control RosUkrEnergo, a company actively involved in Russia–Ukraine gas disputes, and a partner of Raiffeisen Bank.

He lives freely in Moscow, and has three children. He is most closely associated with the Solntsevskaya Bratva crime group. Political figures he has close alliances with include Yury Luzhkov, the former Mayor of Moscow, Dmytro Firtash and Leonid Derkach, former head of the Security Service of Ukraine. Oleksandr Turchynov, who was designated as acting President of Ukraine in February 2014, appeared in court in 2010 for allegedly destroying files pertaining to Mogilevich. Shortly before his death, Alexander Litvinenko claimed that Mogilevich has allegedly had a "good relationship" with Vladimir Putin since the 1990s

Mogilevich was arrested in Moscow on January 24, 2008, for suspected tax evasion. His bail was placed, and he was released on July 24, 2009. On his release, the Russian interior ministry stated that he was released because the charges against him "are not of a particularly grave nature". On October 22, 2009, he was named by the FBI as the 494th fugitive to be placed on the Ten Most Wanted list. In December 2015 he was removed from the list. The FBI indicated he no longer met list criteria, for reasons relating to living in a country with which the United States does not maintain an extradition treaty.

In spite of the warrants issued against him, he still lives freely in Moscow, according to the FBI

The Life and Times of the Stopwatch Gang - Notorious Bank Robbers Paddy Mitchell Documentary
Organized Crime Channel

Published on Aug 28, 2017
The Stopwatch Gang consisted of a crew of three Canadians who made a living robbing banks in the United States and Canada — It has been estimated that the Stopwatch Gang robbed well over 100 banks taking in more than $15 million Canadian dollars. The Stopwatch Gang Crew Consisted of Paddy Mitchell, Lionel Wright and Stephen Reid.

The stopwatch gang was famous for the brilliant and detailed planning of their bank jobs. They were known for robbing banks in 90 seconds or less and getting away with no trace. The group got nicknamed 'The Stopwatch Gang' by the FBI because the gang leader was always seen wearing a stopwatch around his neck while on the job to time the robbery down to the second. They were also well known for non-violent methods and extreme politeness to victims while robbing the bank.

They were in and out in less than two minutes—that’s how they got away with millions. And for the duration of their reign, no bank robbers were more feared (though they never fired their guns) nor more pursued or more mythologized than the Stopwatch Gang. The members themselves were straight out of central casting: Lionel Wright, a meticulous introvert who could disappear in a room full of people; Paddy Mitchell, a charming and well-connected crook who saw an angle in everything and would go to any lengths to avoid the hell of being locked away; and Stephen Reid, a fearless point man who could find the weakness in any system and whose story—of addiction and descent into crime, of redemption and literary fame—was all prelude to a tragic but life-saving fall from grace.

They successfully completed a $750,000 gold heist in 1974 from the Ottawa airport. They carried out a large number of bank robberies in the 1980s along the California coast with large sums of money stolen. The stopwatch gang's greatest heist took place at a Bank of America branch in San Diego in 1980, when they robbed over US$283,000 which at the time set a California bank robbery record.

The stopwatch gang's story is recorded in several television documentaries and many books, including Mitchell's autobiography, This Bank Robber's Life, which he wrote from prison. Stephen Reid later became a noted Canadian author after writing Jackrabbit Parole and being paroled. In 1999, Reid re-offended, and was sentenced to 18 years in prison and released on parole on January 28, 2008.

As of 2017 there is a Hollywood movie in development that will star actors Miles Teller and Ruben Fleischer.

Notorious gangster Al Capone is escorted from the U.S. penitentiary to court where his attorneys will argue before federal judge E.M. Underwood for his release from prison claming he was convicted after the statute of limitations had run.

Al Capone sentenced to 11 years in jail for tax evasion. Huge crowd seen in front of court house to get a look at Alphonse Gabriel Capone in Chicago in Illinois. Al Capone going up steps of courthouse and then coming back down after sentencing. A man holds a copy of the Chicago Daily News, which displays the headline reads 'Al Capone gets 11 years'. Exterior view of Cook County Prison in Illinois. Closeup of the bars on the window of the prison cell where Capone is being held during appeal. Location: Chicago Illinois. Date: November 24, 1931.

On the 4th May 1932, Al Capone began life as a convict in Atlanta Federal Penitentiary. Found guilty on October 17th 1931 of Federal Income Tax Evasion, he was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment.

Capone had risen to dominate Chicago’s organised crime scene since becoming gang boss in January 1925, aged just 26 years old. Although his primary business was bootlegging and distributing alcohol, Capone expanded the gang’s activities to include prostitution and protection rackets.

His downfall began when the Supreme Court ruled that illegally earned income needed to be declared for tax purposes. Capone ordered his accountant to make the declaration and, in 1930, an income of $100,000 dollars was declared for the year 1928-29. This provided the evidence that Capone had failed to pay taxes and was, therefore, able to be prosecuted.

Arriving at Atlanta Federal Penitentiary as prisoner number 40886, Capone was diagnosed with syphilis and gonorrhea – both presumably picked up while working as a bouncer at a brothel in his early 20s. Alongside the effects of cocaine withdrawal, the onset of neurosyphilis led to Capone becoming increasingly reliant on his cellmate, Red Rudinsky, to protect him from other inmates. Having also secured unlimited access to the prison Warden, rumors of ‘special treatment’ soon began to emerge. To ensure Capone was unable to manipulate the system any further, he therefore became one of the first inmates to be sent to Alcatraz in August 1934.

'Life of Army personnel on duty in Europe depicted on "THE BIG PICTURE" -- In this episode of THE BIG PICTURE there is a departure from the usual format. The footage is culled from the best of Army newsreels produced for American forces and their families in Europe. Newsreel in style, the footage was originally released in motion picture theaters, operated by the Army in Germany. It was offered to overseas personnel for their entertainment and information, and to keep them aware of all facets of their mission. In presenting this newsreel, THE BIG PICTURE is providing for the American people a reflection of what life is like for the soldier in Europe..'

"The Big Picture" episode TV-390

Originally a public domain film from the US National Archives, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and one-pass brightness-contrast-color correction & mild video noise reduction applied.
The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original).

Mounted police are police who patrol on horseback or camelback. They continue to serve in remote areas and in metropolitan areas where their day-to-day function may be picturesque or ceremonial, but they are also employed in crowd control because of their mobile mass and height advantage and increasingly in the UK for crime prevention and high visibility policing roles. The added height and visibility that the horses give their riders allows officers to observe a wider area, but it also allows people in the wider area to see the officers, which helps deter crime and helps people find officers when they need them. Mounted police may be employed for specialized duties ranging from patrol of parks and wilderness areas, where police cars would be impractical or noisy, to riot duty, where the horse serves to intimidate those whom it is desired to disperse through its larger size, or may be sent in to detain trouble makers or offenders from the crowd. For example, in the UK, mounted police are most often seen at football matches, although they are also a common sight on the streets of many towns and cities as a visible police presence and crime deterrent during the day and night. Some mounted police units are trained in search and rescue due to the horse's ability to travel where vehicles cannot...

History

The French Maréchaussée—direct predecessors of the gendarmerie and the first national police force in a modern sense—were a corps of completely mounted constabulary from their establishment in the early 18th century. Poor roads and extensive rural areas made horse-mounted police a necessity in European states until the early 20th century. The establishment of organized law-enforcement bodies throughout Africa, Asia and the Americas during the colonial and post-colonial eras made the concept of predominantly horse-police accepted almost world-wide. Notable examples included the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Mexican Rurales, the British South African Police, the Turkish/Cypriot Zapiteh and the caballeria (mounted branch) of the Spanish Civil Guard.

Equipment

Tack used by mounted police is similar to standard riding tack, with adaptations for police use. Synthetic saddles are often favored over those made of natural leather to reduce weight, important both because of long riding hours and because police officers must carry numerous articles of personal equipment. High-traction horseshoes made of speciality metals or fitted with rubber soles are typically used in urban areas in place of standard steel horseshoes, which are prone to slip on pavement. Rubber soled shoes also produce less noise than steel shoes and jar the hoof less. Horses working in riot control wear facial armor, made of perspex so that the animals can still see. The officers themselves are often equipped with especially long wooden or polycarbonate batons for use on horseback, as standard patrol batons would have insufficient length to strike individuals at ground level...

1939 SOVIET INVASION OF FINLAND WINTER WAR USSR RED ARMY 25154
PeriscopeFilm

Published on Oct 23, 2017
FINLAND FIGHTS! was released theatrically as a sound film in 1940 by Emerson Yorke, an independent producer in New York, in cooperation with Castle Films. The footage shown was originally material assembled for an humanitarian reel, made on behalf of the Finnish Relief Fund, so that American audiences could see how Finland was withstanding Russian invasion. The original theatrical release was only five minutes long, but Eugene Castle brought it up to standard one reel length and released it as a silent film with title cards. The film is one of the rarer Castle titles, because the Soviets and Stalin — who are condemned here as aggressors — became U.S. allies in WWII after the German invasion of Russia.

One note of interest to viewers: the swastika shown on the airplane at 5:29 was an official Finnish air force logo, and should not be confused with the (nearly identical but backwards) German fascist symbol.

The Winter War was a military conflict between the Soviet Union and Finland in 1939–1940. It began with the Soviet invasion of Finland on 30 November 1939 (three months after the outbreak of World War II), and ended with the Moscow Peace Treaty on 13 March 1940. The League of Nations deemed the attack illegal and expelled the Soviet Union from the League on 14 December 1939.

The Soviet Union ostensibly sought to claim parts of Finnish territory, demanding—amongst other concessions—that Finland cede substantial border territories in exchange for land elsewhere, claiming security reasons, primarily the protection of Leningrad, which was only 32 km (20 mi) from the Finnish border. Finland refused and the USSR invaded the country. Many sources conclude that the Soviet Union had intended to conquer all of Finland, and use the establishment of the puppet Finnish Communist government and the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact's secret protocols as proof of this, while other sources argue against the idea of a full Soviet conquest.

The Soviets possessed more than three times as many soldiers as the Finns, thirty times as many aircraft, and a hundred times as many tanks. The Red Army, however, had been crippled by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin's Great Purge of 1937. With more than 30,000 of its officers executed or imprisoned, including most of those of the highest ranks, the Red Army in 1939 had many inexperienced senior and mid-level officers. Because of these factors, and high morale in the Finnish forces, Finland repelled Soviet attacks for several months, much longer than the Soviets expected.

Hostilities ceased in March 1940 with the signing of the Moscow Peace Treaty. Finland ceded territory representing 11% of its land area and 30% of its economy to the Soviet Union. Soviet losses were heavy, and the country's international reputation suffered. While the Soviet Union did not conquer all Finland, Soviet gains exceeded their pre-war demands. They gained substantial territory along Lake Ladoga, providing a buffer for Leningrad, and territory in northern Finland. Finland retained its sovereignty and enhanced its international reputation.

The end of the war cancelled the Franco-British plan to send troops to Finland through northern Scandinavia. Some authors would suggest that the official statement by Sweden, Norway and Denmark of February 1940, declaring they would not allow British troops to use their territories on their way to Finland, was a factor in Finland's decision of starting peace talks with Russia. One of the major goals of the projected Franco-British operation had been to take control of northern Sweden's iron ore and cut its deliveries to Germany. For this reason it was also a major factor in the launching of Operation Weserübung, Nazi Germany's invasion of Denmark and Norway.

Dawood Ibrahim (born Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar 27 December 1955) also known as Dawood Bhai or simply Bhai (English: Brother, Big brother or Boss) is a crime lord and a designated terrorist originally from Dongri in Mumbai, India.

Dawood Ibrahmim and his syndicate D-Company have been linked to the financing of the Bollywood film industry. A number of Bollywood studios and films were financed by D-Company in the 1980s and 1990s. Ibrahim was linked to a number of celebrities during that time, including the beauty pageant contestant Anita Ayub and the Bollywood actress Mandakini. D-Company is also known for extortion and threats targeted towards Bollywood producers and celebrities, and was involved in the murders of Bollywood producers Javed Siddique and Gulshan Kumar.

The United States Department of the Treasury designated Ibrahim as a terrorist as part of its international sanctions program, effectively forbidding US financial entities from working with him and seizing assets believed to be under his control. The Department of Treasury keeps a fact sheet on Ibrahim which contains reports of his syndicate having smuggling routes from South Asia, the Middle-East and Africa shared with and used by terrorist organization al-Qaeda. The fact sheet also said that Ibrahim's syndicate is involved in large-scale shipment of narcotics in the United Kingdom and Western Europe. He is also believed to have had contacts with al-Qaeda leader Osama bin-Laden. In the late 1990s, Ibrahim traveled to Afghanistan under the Taliban's protection. The syndicate has consistently aimed to destabilise the Indian government through riots, terrorism and civil disobedience.

The First Japanese American Chicago Outfit Mobster - Tokyo Joe Ken Eto aka The Jap Documentary

Ken Eto also known as Tokyo Joe and "The Jap", was a Japanese-American mobster with the Chicago Outfit and eventually an FBI informant who ran Asian gambling operations for the organization. He was the highest-ranking Asian-American in the organization and is also notable for his extraordinary survival of a murder attempt.

Eto was born in California to strict disciplinarian parents. During World War II, Eto was interned at Minidoka War Relocation Center, and was arrested in 1942 for violating wartime curfew at the camp. In 1949 he moved to Chicago, where he set up an illegal gambling racket known as "bolito" and was managing up to $150,000 to $200,000 a week, including $3,000 a week payoffs to corrupt Chicago police.

Eto's gambling operation was eventually uncovered by the FBI, and Outfit capo Vincent Solano was afraid that Eto would turn government witness. On February 10, 1983, a few weeks prior to sentencing on his gambling conviction he was invited to a dinner meeting. Afraid he was going to be shot, he took a bath and put on his best suit before heading out for the meeting. As he was sitting in a parked car, hitmen Jasper Campise and John Gattuso fired three shots into his head; however, the bullets only grazed his skull. After regaining consciousness, he dragged himself into a local pharmacy and called "911". The 911 recording was played on WBBM-TV, with the call taker demanding to speak to Eto and then asking him if he could drive himself to a hospital. Eventually, a Chicago Fire Department ambulance was sent for him. The failed attempt on Eto's life was blamed on an insufficient amount of gunpowder in the bullet cartridges. The two gunmen had handloaded their own ammunition to reduce their chances of being traced to Eto's murder.

Eto agreed to turn informant for the FBI and entered the Witness Protection Program. On July 14, 1983, about five months after the unsuccessful hit, the bodies of Eto's would-be killers were found in the trunk of a car in suburban Naperville, Illinois; the men had been strangled. The FBI stated after the failed murder attempt, they went to Campise and Gattuso and offered to place them in Witness Protection if they testified as to who ordered the killing, but both stated that they were in no danger. Eto testified in court against his former mob partners and helped put away 15 Outfit mobsters and their associates, including corrupt police officers.
Ken Eto died in Georgia in 2004 at the age of 84, living under the name Joe Tanaka. He left behind six children.

The United California Bank burglary took place on 24 March 1972, when the safe deposit vault at United California Bank in Laguna Niguel, California, was broken into and $30 million (over $172 million in todays money) in cash and valuables were looted by professional burglars led by Amil Dinsio. His accomplices were his brother, James Dinsio, his nephews Harry and Ronald Barber, his brother-in-law Charles Mulligan, alarm experts Phil Christopher and Charles Broeckel. The Dinsio crew was from Youngstown, Ohio and Christopher and Broeckel were from Cleveland. Amil Dinsio was the mastermind of the operation but he worked closely with his brother, James who was the explosives expert, burglary tool designer and fabricator. His brother-in-law, Charles Mulligan was the best and most trusted driver and look out man in the business. The inclusion of Phil Christopher and Charles Broeckel was forced upon Dinsio by the person who clued him in on the score. Dinsio reluctantly took Broeckel along as muscle only and that action proved to be a critical mistake to Dinsio. He had no skills needed to assist in any other way with the score as he was nothing more than a petty thief. Charles Broeckel helped inside the vault to bust open safe deposit boxes. He simply was a look out man communicating with Dinsio via walkie talkie. Christopher played a key role in figuring out how to disarm the alarm. The total stolen from this score was estimated at nearly $30 million. The gang gained entry to the vault by using dynamite to blast a hole in its reinforced concrete roof.

While the burglary itself was executed perfectly, the thieves made the mistake of perpetrating a similar crime back in Ohio a few months later. The FBI linked the two burglaries, and their investigation of transportation records revealed that the entire gang had travelled to California on a single flight using their own names. They also learned of the townhouse used as an HQ, which had been rented by one of the gang members. A search initially found nothing, until the dishwasher was checked. The burglars had forgotten to run the dishwasher before returning to Ohio, and the recovered fingerprints permitted federal arrest warrants to be made, leading to the arrest and conviction of all the burglars, along with the recovery of most of the loot.
