Its a slippery slope...one we are best suited to not take a single step on.
Which I will never do! I won't die from a government bullet to the back of the head execution style, I can guarantee you that!

Well I don’t want the government determining who is a “grave risk to public safety”. It will easily become a political weapon used to disarm law abiding citizens.
methinks that's precisely why a govt would make a law that allowed it to determine who is a "grave risk" - no other reason

I can think of a few friends' ex's out there who would not bat an eye dialing 911 over their "irrational" ex who was exhibiting a kind of behaviour that posed a danger to himself and to others ... "oh yes, officer. he has been stockpiling guns and ammunition for years ..."
I remember one night when he was his usual drunk self and high on meth, saying he'd shoot a pig on sight ... just sayin' "

Red Flag Laws mean when someone snitches on you, they confiscate and you have to prove you are innocent/sane.
Exonerate, the Word of the Year

In order to prove you're innocent / sane, they need to classify you as Exonerated of the claim of being Guilty and Crazy

So, I'm thinking Trump is setting up somebody here yet again. So many times in the last 3 years we've all thrown up our hands about something Trump says and we learn later he was setting up the enemy to draw a reaction. Like someone here has said, don't pay attention to what Trump says and does, watch how his enemies act.

I've seen the tape of him saying what he says below and I can tell you, the look on his face as he asked 'Do you understand that?' was that of firm resolve! He wasn't acting!

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

I'm expecting gun sales to go through the roof if he mentions this again anytime this week.

The quote from Solzhenitsyn isn't the whole story, it is only one part of the story and does serve a purpose. However, there is more to that story. One, nobody deserves that, and two, revolutions rarely work out and creating a mass destruction event is a well worked through science when it comes to TPTB.

.......The problem with Gov is they think they are now god and our rights come from them. Every right is just a privilege to them that they feel they can take away or regulate at will.
Absolutely !!:2 thumbs up::holding hands:

The country is comfortably armed but it's good to imagine sales picking up yet again. Some smoking deals are out there

I thought we caught a break with this president, but he just pissed away the republic in one fell swoop. He's no better than the over-grown elf that fashions himself as the governor of the "people's state" of MA.
Nonsense. Everybody needs to chill for a spell.

We need a good revolution. However, at the end of it the most important thing, and the reason for the revolution to begin with, is to reinstall the constitution.
After living through the end game there are a couple of things that do need to be updated.
1) needs to be a clause on how to deal with elected representatives and judges who violate the constitution.
2) needs to be citizen panels to investigate government wrongdoings. No more gov investigating itself.
3) No more secrecy in government.

Chris isn't going to change any hearts and minds here brother! :2 thumbs up:
Today was Commie Monday - First the CHicoms jump at the chance to overload Trump by adding trade grief while they perceive he is vulnerable with the shootings, then the previous unheard from racist Oboingo rears its ugly head to ID haters WHITE nationalists supporting white supremacy, while never saying the word muslem or black or other specific race as ever being terrorists agents. Amazingly references ISIS, Rwanda, Holocaust, Balkans and could not bring its self to say any other specific race except the WHITE Nationalists. Then we have the demoncrat clown show entrants thinking of themselves first as usual, not even hinting at bipartisanship for the good of the US. And finally the "so called patriots" who would of preferred Hillary I guess. Good luck with that. These folks will be the last to do shit no matter who gets in. May Trump beat the shit out of the Commies one and all.

PS Here is Oboingas Twat junk for laughs

Meh.

The court system would have to be tossed and redone somehow. Supreme Court? Have to shit can that turd.

Term limits for EVERYTHING, if not mandating 'common/ordinary' people have to serve. No careers as a 'politician'....That just means your a hack and up for sale.

That whole revamp list is long.

Personally I think the land mass is too big for ONE country.
You cant have accurate/honest elections in such a big place. Every county and state does something different. Too vulnerable.

Then of course there are the dirty players at every turn. They are NOT looking for any kind of goodness to return or come about.

The largest criminal organizations will attract the most talented of crooks.

Nonsense. Everybody needs to chill for a spell.
In the first months of his presidency he was doing some good things like rolling back regulations and not hiring as many government employees. But then, things changed.

He attacked Syria. He unnecessarily started multiple trade wars that raise living costs. He flip-flopped on this pre-election position and sold lots of military weapons to SA. He appointed some of the worst Deep State people as advisors. He has increased the national debt to an all time high. He has increased the funding and scope of domestic spying while complaining of being a victim of it. He swapped his pre-election monetary position, and is calling for lower interest rates (more inflation). And now he is trying to create "mental health" regulations to pave the way for disarmament of the people, Internet censorship, and gulags.

Time to Chill? I'd say it's time people wake the f&k up!

And do what? Revolt? March on Washington with guns? Or vote in the nearest socialist madman?

That's exactly what they want us to believe, that there are no better options, and that we have to submit to their agendas.

I'm not calling for violence, and I'm not voting for any socialists.

First and foremost, spread the word. Vote for the most principled candidate you can identify, even if that's a Libertarian or Ron Paul write in. Vote on a local level for people who oppose all these tyrannical laws. The local elections count, too.

If Americans could non-violently protest against unjust Jim Crow laws, why can't Americans protest against unjust red flag laws?

If voting mattered it would already be banned!

After living through the end game there are a couple of things that do need to be updated.

1) needs to be a clause on how to deal with elected representatives and judges who violate the constitution.

Joseph: We have that now - we can vote them out - but we don't do it. I've voted against incumbents for 20+ years, and yet here they are still. many of them 20+ years in office - Biden has been sucking govt dick for almost 40 years .

2) needs to be citizen panels to investigate government wrongdoings. No more gov investigating itself.

Joseph: The "citizens" won't get off their asses, off social media, off TV long enough to go to the fridge or bathroom. They're not going to investigate a GD thing beyond the lint in their belly buttons.

3) No more secrecy in government.

Joseph : I have no words for that ...
This country is full to the brim with fat, dumb, complacent and lazy people. With few exceptions, no one gives a damn about anything -
We do due diligence, quietly stay prepared as best we can, and patiently wait for that one day ... pantifa will come out and start some violent shit with the wrong people on the wrong day, and so it will begin in earnest .
or food stamps and welfare checks will be late, either way ... it's coming ... hopefully sooner than later. I'm no spring chicken, but I have a lot of heart ...

Still get a kick out of this deadbeat, loser asshole

So when he fails to stop it we can jump off the Trump train into the abyss, right?
It hasn’t happened yet. He wants to be re-elected. He can’t let the grabbers grab.

He's always been the best at trolling the left ... I hope this is nothing more than another instance of it. If this red flag thing takes hold, it will be the end of us.

Agreed. These red flag laws are gonna be the end of 2A, if they take hold everywhere. I think they’re taking advantage of these latest mass shootings and the current weakness of the NRA to go gung ho on the 2nd. We need to stop it, right in it’s tracks.

It was clear what side trump was on when he legislated the bump stock ban from the White House.

That precedent will continue to be used against us in the future.

Okay, regarding Trump's words about Red Flag Laws...... go to this link and pull the slider thing over to the 6:00 mark and listen for the next 9 and a half minutes.

Warning: if you are offended by language, this is Brenden Dilley so this video may not be something you want to listen to.

Where is the video/audio clip of Trump actually calling for Red Flag laws to be written and passed? Define a Red Flag law and how that would look, then ask yourself if that's what he's called for!

Ok well, to keep with his theme, I will say right out front, this guy is a fucking moron. Oh we just have to give up our rights and Trump has to go along with it so he can appease the left and it will all be overturned in the SC.. Yea still waiting on the patriot act to be overturned. Sorry, I don't buy it for one minute.

Trump could actually come out and say exactly what this dude just said. It's unconstitutional and wont pass at the SC so he wont support it now. Why is it every law has to be passed and then we can see whats in it and take it to the SC at a huge cost to US just because they cant follow the constitution. The other problem with this is who is going to take it to the SC? Are we really going to take our chances with that?
Nope, not buying it. Fuck him and the horse he rode in on. :dduck::Helicopter:fire:

There is 0 reason to appease the left on this issue. If anything it's high time politicians came out in support of the 2nd and told Americans to arm themselves. There is no other solution to this problem. If everyone was armed these shooting would be far less frequent and there would be way less casualties. Just look at Chicago, Aint one mother forker in that city carrying legally and yet the weekend shooting sprees are epic. It's like everyone loads clips all week getting ready for the festivities on the weekend.
