On the top shelf.
Either cashed in Air Miles, or Momma & Daddy bought the ticket to see their little girl. IMHO
More likely the latter but then again by me here in NY it is not unusual for a teacher to pull down 100K after a few years.

Responding to first class pricing question.

I was flying Raleigh to Minneapolis a couple months ago and decided to first class. It was 625 vs 565 for coach.

In most cases it's a larger % premium but not always

'I'm a queen and I demand to be treated like a queen!' How Congresswoman involved in race row on plane was chauffeured a block to Congress and was nearly banished from an airline before
  • Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Texas Democrat, has a storied history of bad behavior on planes and in automobiles
  • Previous news reports have captured Jackson Lee berating flight attendants over not getting a seafood meal in first class
  • As well as making her Congressional aides, she sometimes referred to as 'you stupid motherf***er,' drive her one block to work
  • This week the congresswoman suggested a white woman was being a racist when the woman complained after United gave Jackson Lee her first class seat
  • The airline has stated that the woman had canceled this leg of her flight, which was how the congresswoman was able to be upgraded to the passenger's seat

Don't cruise ships have jails? Maybe airliners should have emergency detention cells to hold passengers who cross the line. I think it is unacceptable when a captain claims (lies that) he is "forced" to divert or return because of an unruly passenger, adding cost to every other passenger.

Yea, really. They could just lock 'em in one of the bathrooms for the duration of the trip. Be especially good if they used the one someone with stomach issues had been holed up in for the previous 30 minutes. lol

United Airlines staff are caught on camera in FURIOUS row with a passenger after they insisted her carry-on was too large — even though it fit perfectly in baggage measuring rack
  • Natalia Rutkowski, 27, was checking in for a flight from Chicago to New Jersey with her mom Anna, 58, when she said United staff confronted her about a bag
  • Mobile phone footage shows the account executive, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, being asked to place the bag into a test rack at O'Hare International Airport
  • It appears to fit inside the crate, but staffers are seen arguing that it is oversized
  • A United employee is seen removing the bag and putting it in sideways, claiming it does not fit, despite the fact that there appears to be space below it
  • After speaking with various staff members, Natalia and Anna were eventually allowed to board the flight home with their baggage

I think this kind of stupidity is universal, not just United. We're living in an age when people are not only getting stupider, if that's a word, but they're also getting more power hungry. Every little idiot peon wants his slice of power. I think we're living in the scariest of worlds, where a bunch of power hungry morons want to control us all.

Delta passenger claims she was left injured by an unruly child who kicked her in the face and ribs - but the airline did nothing and called her a 'nuisance' for complaining

  • Sally Canario was on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to Minneapolis on April 2
  • She was in a window seat with a little girl next to her lying on her mother's lap
  • Canario said the child was having a tantrum and she was kicked in the face, ribs and lap repeatedly
  • When she told flight attendants of the situation, she says she was told she was being a 'nuisance'
  • The mother of the child told Canario that her husband was on the flight but Delta would not let them sit together because the tickets were purchased last minute
  • Canario said she is suffering from cartilage damage that will take a week to heal
  • A Delta spokesperson said the company has apologized to Canario and that her claim will be sent to the airline's insurer for investigation

Mental Midgets at it again.
Make a seat exchange which all but the staff would appreciate and end potential conflict and injury.
OR
Go exactly by the procedures and now face a much higher financial burden.

HEY Airline workers - It is better to beg for forgiveness from the boss sometimes than "go by the book" or wait for permission $$$$$$$ IMHO
