Dang, I haven’t looked at Rhodium in months and it’s done quite well for the second half of the year, increasing in price by 33% since July. I see it’s now at $1340.00, just a bit above gold at $1292.00

Anyone been holding on to some waiting for the price to go up?

I won't buy anything that hasn't a market.

Before you believe the market <sic> price of Rhodium ask yourself:

Where you are going to buy and sell it?

What's the spread?

What form are you going to hold...which leads to the question, how is this stuff
assayed if it's not hallmarked?

I'll dabble in palladium and accept the haircut when selling to a coin shop.

Rhodium? I'd probably want to talk to some refineries first.

Ah, you do know that Rhodium went above $10,000 an ounce in 2008 or so, don't you?

Sure I know this, and look what happened after that...IT COLLAPSED 90% of its price.

Are you REALLY that good at timing markets?

Briefly it touched $10,000. But who are you going to sell your one ounce of Rhodium to when it hits 10K?

You will not get anything like what the "market" says you can get.

First off, you most likely will only be able to sell Rhodium to a refiner and I have no idea how refiners buy and sell small amounts of PM from a private party
but I'm going to go way out on a limb and say you won't get anything like what the Kitco charts say it's worth.

Regardless, I would need the buy/sell/assay procedures outlined and confirmed as well as an understanding of spreads before jumping into something this liquid.

Provident sells the bars, as well as kitco. Looking at kitco buy and sell prices, it's a $215 difference.

I'm sure that difference will increase a lot if it goes to $10k.

How does Iridium trade so flat for months? Is it not traded daily?
probable just the way they price it on the mkt, notice the $100 price spread on kitco. The math result then would probably be flat for ± $50.00 movements.

I'm not familiar with this but I did find a ticker DBSHF that is
DB ETC PLC ST HELIER PHYSICAL RHODIUM ETC PHYSICAL RHODIUM COMM

Doing paper trades is probably a safer way to make some bucks. Then after you made your gains (hopefully) trade it in for gold or whatever.
