What is 5G and why are we scared of China having it?

If China has 5g, maybe 5g is what causes the WuFlu?

5G sucks monkey balls and can stay the hell away from me if I have any choice in the matter.

4G works fine, what is 5G going to do or allow us to do that we can't do now?

Why do people fear 5G so much? It's a red herring, designed to have consumers part with even more electrons posing as money on the promise of ultra fast download speeds.

Do you like sticking your head in a microwave and pressing on? Because this is getting a LOT closer. And for very little gain to the consumer. Our corporate overlords love it though as it allows a spy network for any electronic device they can dream.

No, not even close.

Most metropolitan areas (and pretty much all of their central business districts) have blanket wi-fi coverage that utilises the 5GHz band. Not only that, all home wi-fi networks use the 2.4GHz band, with many also running on 5GHz. Most wi-fi routers have a transmit power of 50mW or less and ovens use the 2.45GHz band and are limited to 12mW power. Neither power output is anywhere near enough to cause damage to human tissue (via dielectic heating), and the wavelengths are too long to strip electrons (ionising radiation).

Oh and the mobile device spy network has existed since 3G was first rolled out, parts of which existed in some form since the analog mobile networks.

Its because 5G will enable the mass collection of data on every citizen 24/7. Its the infrastructure for the police state.

Also - China has a good product....and the US doesnt. So there is that too...

There are all kinds of data showing the dangers. The fact that the FCC really required no evidence that they are safe until it literally cooks your skin. The problem with 5G over 4G is the higher frequency radiation. Because the higher frequencies dont travel as far the emitters have to be much closer to us. So you have higher power closer to us.

We have a winner!

5G = more transceivers located closer to our bodies.

Ironically, or appropriately, I have worked in proximity to wireless transceivers of all types for over 20 years, and I work in the same industry today.

Here in Silicon Valley, we are literally bathed in non-ionizing radiation, and that is the goal of 5G:

Literal radio immersion which can provide all the data required to map our entire lives.

The prize being the data itself, and to the carrier go the spoils.

China or US?

is there a small 'jammer' that can be carried within the pocket or backpack of someone?

if the phones can put out 5g, a jammer can easily operate to make things a bit more interesting...

we rarely talk spy stuff here...

anyway, i digress, but, you wanna impress someone, get in their way...

from wickedpedia:

5G millimeter wave is the fastest, with actual speeds often being 1–2 Gb/s down. Frequencies are above 24 GHz reaching up to 72 GHz which is above the extremely high frequency band's lower boundary. The reach is short, so more cells are required. Millimeter waves have difficulty traversing many walls and windows, so indoor coverage is limited.

A poor choice because both are governments. Which is why I'll avoid it like the plague.

Also similar to the naked imaging tech for the TSA. Who doesnt want to be constantly irradiated?
