We all have heard that many inventions were the greatest thing since sliced bread but what I wanna know is what was greatest before sliced bread? From my understanding, sliced bread was a product of the 1920's so I doubt anyone on the forum was around. Any ideas?

Yeah those look pretty cool…it would be easy to modify one in a lot of way , like build a frame for it with handles or something

generally we use some 5 gallon bubble bags 90 or a 120 mesh

I actually think I have a 10 gallon bubble bag …hmmmm , now I have to look for it and maybe ditch the silk screen

Another great invention was the 48” Whiteman trowel machine

You can dry sift w bubble bags if you have dry ice.

I dont know if it was an invention, but it really turned the page for me, when girls starting shaving their pussies. or at least cleaning up the mess all round the sides.

:2 thumbs up:

Makes for some good squeezin's in the press.

I would submit that a stick-throwing hominid was nothing to fear.

An archer with experience, though, can take an antelope down; or a large bird in flight. Or an apple off your son's head - if you don't value your son that much.

1) (so far) The printing press. in 2 million years we had barely progressed to oxcarts. After the printing press it was 500 years from oxcarts to the moon (and beyond)

Deal with it, moonies

Bessemer process

Bessemer process, the first method discovered for mass-producing steel. Though named after Sir Henry Bessemer of England, the process evolved from the contributions of many investigators before it could be used on a broad commercial basis. It was apparently conceived independently and almost concurrently by Bessemer and by William Kelly of the United States. As early as 1847, Kelly, a businessman-scientist of Pittsburgh, began experiments aimed at developing a revolutionary means of removing impurities from pig iron by an air blast.

The bow and projectile arrow.

It turned hominids from the hunted, into the hunters.
The Atlatl came before the bow and arrow and performed that task already.

Yes, but aren't so many of these items, just developments on previous breakthroughs? The IC engine came from understandings of the various steam engines, coupled to understanding the combustion properties of naphtha. Before there was brandy, there was rotten, fermenting fruit...which to a starving Piltdown Man, didn't taste good, but sure was fun later.

My approach to this was, what was THE...SINGLE...biggest leap forward?

According to the old comedy radio show with Abomanewya-mayo the Caveman, he said the greatest thing ever was Saran Wrap.

Precision machining capabilities.

That's the bedrock of all of our equipment, tools, engines, etc etc. Without being able to precisely cut, mold, or otherwise shape metal, none of our modern tech would be possible and we'd still be living as people did in the 17th Century. It's what made the so-called industrial revolution possible. It's one of the main reasons for this chart showing what it does.
