Sorta basic for this crowd but I found it interesting at the 14 min. mark when she discusses the nations buying gold for their reserves:

More gold than has ever been mined in total, plus fiscally responsible legislatures.

The world should NEVER return to any gold standard where gold is defined as a certain number of currency units. That’s the wrong way to do it and that way will eventually fail every. single. time. as it has in the past. You want a gold standard? Make elememtal gold an official physical standard of wealth, as the meter is for length and the gram for mass. Remove gold from ANY form of regulation, restriction, taxation or interest, as a standard has nothing to do with those.
Let currencies vie for acceptability and value against elemental gold.

A return to the gold standard would take 100,000 banksters and politicians to admit that Keynes was wrong, that the gold standard is NOT a "barbarous relic."

Well said,.

Any paper currency is merely a warehouse receipt for a fixed quantity of gold.
